I donated to Perry last Friday. I will not give up on Perry at all. I simply would not accept Romney as the nominee. I am with Perry till the end and I am still certain that he is going to be our nominee.

I LOVE that commercial.

Seriously, if Perry did nothing else but run that very commercial over and over till election day he would win in a landslide.

It gives me goosebumps every time I see it.

I assume you are talking about the “Proven Leadership” one? I agree! Goosebumps and all, that is one awesome ad.

Mike.

Obama’s getting money from laundered stimulus money (OUR MONEY), so please don’t start preaching that the GOP donors are corrupt.

The unions and trail lawyers are going to stuff Obama’s coffers too — so PLEASE spare me your indignation about Perry’s fundraising.

A lot of individual donations were given to him (including from me) because we see him as the best chance to save the nation.

The way things are going I expect Romney to start attacking Perry soon for being soft of gun rights!

lol

that's how ludicrous this election has gotten.

I’ve heard Romeny is a dirty fighter. I think we’re already seeing it.

What, if anything, do their donors expect in return for their “investments”?

Simply, to get this country working again.

He set a goal to raise this money in a short period of time. His campaign met that goal.

It is great to see he now has the funds to continue in reaching his goal to become president. He has the vision and desire to get the country moving forward again.

$17 million - 20,000 donors! That doesn’t sound like small donations from a great swath of people like from you.

Something else that’s interesting. He is not big on yard signs, bumper stickers etc. He says they don’t win elections. He is the first candidate I have ever heard say this and it makes sense. You know the media is going to spin that since there are no signs out there he doesn’t have any support. This guy knows what it takes to win and he’s doing it.

Strip away all of the illegals, and how much of that 48% growth was from the indigenous population. At least we don't have a problem with illegal Canadians overrunning our border. Maybe it has something to do with Texas and California whining about how harsh Arizona and New Mexico are being on illegals. You live in a border state, your state refuses to stop illegals from coming in, or the feds and special interests paid for by your lobbyists to turn a blind eye, your Governor sides with the illegals, solely to protect financial interests, and cries foul when the other 49 states say no thanks. If you're lucky, the next administration won't give Texas back to mexico.

Seeing as how the wealth are being attacked on a daily basis by this administration just as hard as the middle class, this doesn’t surprise me. They want to see change just as much as we do.

That money’s going to be needed against the mountain that Obama’s sitting on... (and his loyal toadies in the press)

Money wont matter, Perry will not be elected, I would choose Romney over Perry, but Cain is my guy. The truth is the GOP elites were hoping for Christie to eat up several months worth of new cycles to detract from Cains message, but now the very day after he said “No” (and they are pissed believe me) the new is PERRY HAS TONS OF MONEY,HE’S THE ONE, HE’S THE ON. Although in every poll, even some new national ones out today Perry is out of the race and Cain is tied with Romney. Money ain’t going to win this race, the internet is making that a non-issue.

To my knowledge, the ‘dogged vetting’ quote came from the Freeper napscoordinator, not Cincinatus’ Wife.

Indeed. The general election is the big leagues. It will take contributions from all corners, including corporations and grassroots, to defeat Obama. It is right to scrutinize and question candidates’ sources of campaign money. As long as it is open and transparent I have no problem with it. Remember, McCain-Feingold made a mess of trying to restrict the First Amendment.
