Assad will launch an attack in Israel ONLY is he feels that he is about to be overthrown. And if he gets the OK from Iran Also, Assad is a puppet, a figurehead..he is NOT his father, who was a ruthless, evil despot. The current Assad is a dentist, was living for years in London, and only came back home after his father died. You have a few hundred people in Syria, military, secret police, officials, who have run things for decades, behind the scenes..they needed a name, a figurehead, to hold things together, to transition to the new regime. Wonder what they gave him...millions? to come back home.

The tensions between Turkey, Syria, and the Kurdish regions are real..and this may prove to be the trigger...
