Neither Perry nor Romney should be the nominee.

Perry is merely a different face of the same GOP Establishment coin. He is Bush's "compassionate conservative" moderate vrs the liberal wing of the GOP in Romney. It's the 2000 McCain vrs Bush fight all over again.

Perry is Romney lite. Like Bush he is another social conservative/political moderate talking tough to win the GOP primary. He will then go to DC and be a good little Establishment water-boy just like Bush.

The difference between Perry and Romney is which issues they will choose to focus on. Perry will be a staunch social conservative big spending, crony capitalist, Romney will be a social liberal, big spending, big government crony capitalist.

When give the choice of either Romney or Perry, Conservatives should say "neither".

No matter how many times you or the other Palin-Paul or whomever posters say that, it doesn’t make it true.

Romney’s lack of respect inability to generate enthusiasm within the GOP has almost morphed into a humiliation for him. I can remember Republicans being more excited and breathless about Bob Dole. But if big money is now starting to swing his way with Christie out and the GOP establishment’s thirst to get some candidate out there who is a clear frontrunner and seemingly inevitable nominee, Romney should have a better shot at it.

It's all about the money.

MNJohnnie is correct.

Perry could have NOT been a RINO, but he was PROUD OF IT
in the debate, and called Americans “heartless”.

Perry could have shown he was a contender against
Romney, but he only showed weakness.

Perry is all talk, all RINO, and little evidence
of conservative past.

You are right, only history will do that.

1. Illegals in-state tuition

2. legislating by executive order

Anyone else care to add to the list? I stopped worrying about counting at those two.

Sorry but this arrogant assumption put out by the Perry campaign that choice is A or B is nonsense.

This is one of the reasons you Perry supporters are in such trouble. This arrogant assumption that we MUST choose Rino A to stop Rino B.

No, we do not.

Well, “NEVER” works for me.

(If Mittens was a Gypsy, he could read the tea leaves. As it is, he’ll just have to consult the skidmarks in his magic underpants.)

Even if Perry were great now, there’s not enough time since he supported Gore.

You have ZERO credibility.

Why would I take anything you say as “correct.”

I hope you’ll enjoy Romney’s candidacy and Obama’s 4 more years. Because that’s what you’re going to get by killing off a good conservative candidate.

All true. However, Romney will expand the EPA and Perry is against the EPA. But will Perry ignore the Green corporatists and cut the EPA?

Romney won’t repeal ObamaCare and you for some stupid reason think I want that bit of limp toast to stand for conservatism?

Wake up dearie, we are playing with real marbles now. I have argued for the longest time now that we do not need to be deciding now but instead focused on vetting. If you are incapable of vetting until it is time to enter the voting booth, you are doing everyone, including yourself a huge disservice.
