This appears to be the latest spin from Obama/The MSM -- that "Bush did it too."

The difference appears to be that under Bush, the buyers were apprehended, whereas under Obama, the guns were allowed to go to the drug cartels in Mexico.

There was a Washington Post reporter interviewed by Greta Van Susteren tonight about Fast & Furious who played the "Bush did it too" card.

Project Gunrunner involved the surveillance of straw purchasers buying weapons, but those purchasers were immediately apprehended before crossing back into Mexico or tranferring arms to dangerous criminals.

At this stage, blaming Bush is a desperate act. And similarly to Godwin’s Law, whoever blames Bush first is destined to lose.

ATF agents who have testified before Congress about the program said the idea was to "trace" those weapons, but the tracing ended up being a total failure as GPS batteries ran out and thousands of guns were lost in Mexico and only found at final violent crime scenes.

This is the first I've heard about the guns having tracking devices. I remember Rep. Darrell Issa and Sean Hannity talking about them NOT have tracking devices.

Just the same old Chicago style ‘RAT bull**** trying to take some of the heat off of Barry and Holder. I’m not buying it.

In 2006 Bush did a Jedi mind trick on Holder, causing him to lie under oath. In other news, more green jobs....

This is their only card. Bush did it too is the only way to spin attention away from the Leavenworth Hotel that Obie, Holder and about 15 DOJ and ATFE brass should be housed in.

Lies. Murder. Spin.

The Chicago Way. Issa better wear a vest.

Curious that after months of ignoring a story bigger than Watergate - Watergate with a freaking body count, that Barack’s own propaganda arm is suddenly jumping into the fray.

...Project Gunrunner involved the surveillance of straw purchasers buying weapons, but those purchasers were immediately apprehended before crossing back into Mexico or tranferring arms to dangerous criminals. Shortly after Obama took office, Operation Fast and Furious allowed straw purchasers working for Mexican drug cartels to purchase mass amount of weapons in the United States and then take them back to Mexico...

The press is cutting their own throat... The "Bush did it too" is so lame - and wrong.
