“Still a Possibility:” Sarah Palin May Enter The Race
ABC News ^ | October 4, 2011 | Shushannah Walshe and John Berman

Posted on 10/04/2011 8:11:40 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

According to a source with knowledge of the inner workings of SarahPAC, inside the Palin world it’s still a possibility that she might run. However, as the deadline approaches not even her staff knows what she will decide.

ABC News has separately learned that the Palin team is well aware of the filing deadlines and are keeping abreast of the changes in the deadline. Politico reported Tuesday that a law firm that employs an attorney representing SarahPAC had been making calls to early states inquiring about presidential filing deadlines. SarahPAC would not confirm the report to ABC News. When reached by ABC News, Mark Braden—the attorney mentioned in the Politico report—would also not comment or confirm the report or that he even works with Palin.

As the days creep toward those state filing deadlines, no new staff has been hired. Her core group of about seven staffers runs the organization while a volunteer group completely independent of SarahPAC called Organize4Palin or O4P tries to lay the groundwork in states, most notably Iowa. Those close to Palin acknowledge the decision is hers to make alone with her husband, Todd, and that she could decide the day before the first filing deadline that she wants to throw her hat in the ring....

“That was sarcasm wasn’t it Ari?”

yeah :)
I don’t think there’s anyone who can claim to be the master over the media at this point.

I agree completely except Newt even though lapsed is no RINO and was very important in 1994 and should be respected for that even while recognizing his flaws

But aside from that clarification I hope Palin is listening
I mean are we down to just Cain really?

“Why don’t you both tell us what Palin POLICY you disagree with. She’s been pretty damn rock solid down the line.”

She’s also pretty likable. Some people hate her like she stepped on their cat or something. Doesn’t make any sense to me.

Don’t be grumpy...Ronin has been for Palin as long as you have here....some folks are just tired of the indecision or strategery and see she is needed

I'll bet you that you can't bundle $2 million for Palin. What are the terms of the bet?

I'm sure glad you are on another candidate's team because you are to damned pessimistic and defeatist for Team Palin.

Palin is rhetorically grandiose but politically VACUOUS, offering a rant over any vision, or policy, and brings nothing to the table, so far, on any issue. Her depth is still at the level of, shoulda’, coulda’, wanta’. She is not running because of it. It’s hard work and she is spent. Her little staff of six, or now seven, couldn’t drive her to a post office, let alone to a nomination. She’s tired.

Being 14 trillion in debt, you want someone with an analytical mathematical mind. You’re not going to fix that problem by selling a plane or 2. Cain proved he could handle Bill Clinton over hillarycare.

I think Palin proved with the ACES program that she's pretty savvy with numbers. Getting rid of the Governor's jet, and letting the official chef go weren't just stunts, either. They were part and parcel of her way of thinking about the public purse.

Good question and one of only a handful of her positions I oppose or am ambivalent over....i am no fan of populism or girl power
As much as I like her...that tunes me out

But part of her talk of business and government incest it’s accurate

That’s pretty much it. It’s just hard to keep up the enthusiasm over such a long all. IF she does jump in, I am sure it will all come surging back, but right now...?

Phhhhhhhhbtttt...

What is that crap all about...? “couldn’t drive her to the post office”?

That must be some pretty good sauce you are drinking, weed you are smoking, or dare I hate to say it, Feminine Jealousy.

That Big Oil money came from raising taxes on the oil companies.

The ACES program wasn't a tax hike on oil companies. It was a restructuring of how they pay state taxes. Under Palin's plan, the more they produced, the less they paid (as a percentage) in taxes. This created an instant incentive for them to ramp up production and open fields which they had let lay dormant for decades.

As a result, total receipts to the Alaska treasury went up.

ACES penalized the oil companies for just sitting on leases which, per the Alaska Constitution, are the rightful property of the people of Alaska. The oil companies were keeping their output at a certain level to keep the price where they wanted. Also, the untapped oil under their leases was like gold sitting in a safe deposit box, gaining value over time, but providing nothing for the legal owners, or for the marketplace.

You’re sweet to ask, but “yes” to both your questions. Just not tonight. I’m really sick of this cell phone keyboard I’m stuck on. Lol. It’s got me in trouble, as you know. :*)

Hang in there. RitaOK is a nut now. This isn’t strategy, or fire in the belly, but now a Freeper without joy and overcome by bitterness and anger. I do not blame her, but playing it out publicly makes me embarrassed for her. I tend to think there’s dysfunction. She is on another planet emotionally. I pity her, but she needs to move on from role playing with the fairies to getting a life.
