COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A Muslim death row inmate says the Ohio prison system is denying him meals prepared according to Islamic law while at the same time providing kosher meals to Jewish prisoners, according to a federal lawsuit that alleges a civil rights violation.
Condemned inmate Abdul Awkal says the prison system's failure to provide halal meals is a restraint on his religious freedoms. Awkal, joined by a second inmate not on death row, says the vegetarian and non-pork options offered by the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction aren't good enough. The inmates say the food must be prepared in specific fashion, such as ensuring that an animal is butchered by slitting its throat and draining its blood, to conform with Islamic beliefs.

That people would consider this worthy of notice is an indication of the derangement of society.

So this maniac kills his wife, and has the nerve to complain that NOT slitting an animals throat so he can eat it might get him in trouble with God?
If he’s that concerned, he can be a vegetarian until June. Maybe that will cover the sin of his wife’s murder before God, but I doubt it.
Kosher doesn’t work because the Kosher method of slaughtering animals is not a sacrifice. Halal is a sacrifice to Allah. They point the animal toward the black rock of mecca and slit its throat as they say “Alluha Akbar”
His religion means crap in the USA justice system, or at least that is all should mean. He should have thought/known about this when he did a crime subject to USA law, not Sharia.

Tell him it wasn’t just pork, it was also dog meat. When he wins his law suit, he’ll be dead, and the proceeds will be presented directly to the Jewish Anti-defamation league.
