If you're a illegal-alien truck bomber, Perry's NASCO-TTC importation model would rush your containerized, shielded nuke from the Mexican docklands right through the border towns and well into the interior of the United States before you have to worry about anybody's wanting a look.
The Trans-Texas Corridor would allow Mexican trucks to enter the U.S. and traverse the core of the country all the way to Canada.

You guys are nuts, if someone is crossing the river with drugs and border patrol won’t do anything about it, certainly Texas can arrest them, give them in-state tuition and welfare.
I’ll continue going after Perry and when the next presidential hopeful is first in the polls, I’ll look at his record and act accordingly.
The biggest tool a state has is E-Verify, and Perry won’t use it, doesn’t like it, won’t even use it for state employees.

I’m not surprised that only a few anti-Perry types have showed up here, their smears wither pretty quickly when faced with cold hard fact.
We need a military frontier, just as Hungary needed a military frontier against the Turks.
I propose the occupation of Baja California and Northern Mexico to a line Tampico-Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta. This area would be placed under American military government until such time as the cartels were demolished and a secure frontier 50 miles into Mexico was created. The territory between Texas-NM-AZ and the 50 mile line would be annexed, as would Baja California. Former citizens of Mexico living in this area who spoke English would be allowed to enlist in the US Frontier Corps, and awarded citizenship after six years of satisfactory service. Those who wanted to leave, or to retain Spanish, would be evacuated into the remaining Mexican territories.
Persons on foot or in motorized transport would not be allowed to approach within 1 mile of the military frontier from the South. US nationals would not be allowed to enter the military frontier from the North, except on official business or to make deliveries.
Mexican nationals living in the 50 states and the District of Columbia with appropriate visas and work permits could remain only if they renounced Mexican nationality and the Spanish language. Mexican nationals living on US territory without visas or work permits would be deported.
Problem solved.
