What nation does Al Queda belong to? Whose agents are they working as?

If we can't answer those questions then this is indeed an assassination. The only way out of the conundrum would have been through the courts in-absentia.

Of course it does. It's shocking how quickly folks around here are willing to jettison their ‘inalienable rights’ or those of their fellow citizens based codes, secret memos, unspecified legal theories, or a general ‘ends justify the means’ mentality. This is the lazy, anti-intellectual side of conservatism; the same one that allows expansion of the government when Republicans are in power because ‘he's our guy.’ Enough. The Constitution either means something, and we are a nation of laws, or we should send a letter to England apologizing and asking for George III back.
