On Fox News Channel, Mr. Cain will join Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, and on ABC will join This Week with Chistiane Amanpour.
These will be great interviews, so make sure to tune in!
Total non answer.
You have not read Mr Cain’s biography? Shame on you! Mr. Cain is highly educcated! He saved a number of Pillsbury’s companies, including God Father’s Pizza. He literally pulled them from disasterous to viable status!
Please Google him. He has a very impressive resume. Mr. Cain is presidential. He not only talks the conservative talk, he walks the consrvative walk!
Dear Paperdoll, It is myself that is bumfuddled. I erplied in this thread (see post 51) and quoted another poster. That is why the comment was in “”’s. It was the other poster who said running one pizza parlor was better than Zero’s resume and I totally agreed! We are well aware and very impressed with Mr. Cain’s resume. HE DID HIS FAMILY PROUD!
The trouble with email is there is no voice inflections or body language. I should have added a :o) after the shame on you. God bless.
>I am voting for the Republican. I just hope they are picked by Republicans.<
:o) There are Republicans and then there are Republicans. I would have written that sentence ....just hope they are picked by Consercvatives.
Would that include someone who keeps the 11 commandment? WWRRD? I hear Chris and Herman teed off on Rick today. Not my dog, but, just saying.
Strange I watched it this morning and I recall nothing said about Rick Perry.
Here is Cain’s biography:
Herman Cain brings extraordinary credentials to his candidacy for U.S. President.
He is the quintessential example of American Exceptionalism
He graduated from Morehouse College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and received a Master of Science degree in computer science from Purdue University in 1971, while he was also working full-time in ballistics for the U.S. Department of the Navy. Cain has authored four books: Leadership is Common Sense (1997), Speak as a Leader (1999), CEO of SELF (October 2001), and They Think Youre Stupid (May 2005). He also authored an article titled The Intangibles of Implementation in the technical journal Interfaces (Vol. 9, No. 5, 1979, pp. 144-147), published by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
After completing his masters degree from Purdue, Cain left the Department of the Navy and began working for The Coca-Cola Company as a business analyst. In 1977, he joined Pillsbury where he rose to the position of Vice President by the early 1980s. He left his executive post to work for Burger King a Pillsbury subsidiary at the time managing 400 stores in the Philadelphia area. Under Cains leadership, his region went from the least profitable for Burger King to the most profitable in three years. This prompted Pillsbury to appoint him President and CEO of Godfathers Pizza, another of their then-subsidiaries. Within 14 months, Cain had taken Godfathers Pizza from 911 stores down to 420 stores and reduced costs significantly. As a result of his efforts Godfathers Pizza finally became profitable. In a leveraged buyout in 1988, Cain, Executive Vice-President and COO Ronald B. Gartlan and a group of investors bought Godfathers from Pillsbury. Cain continued as CEO until 1996, when he was asked to resign by the board. Later that year he became CEO of the National Restaurant Association a trade group and lobby organization for the restaurant industry where he had previously been chairman concurrently with his role at Godfathers.
Cain became a member of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992 and served as its chairman from January 1995 to August 1996, when he resigned to become active in national politics. Cain was a 1996 recipient of the Horatio Alger Award.
Cain was on the board of directors of Aquila, Inc. from 1992 to 2008, and also served as a board member for Nabisco, Whirlpool, Readers Digest, and AGCO, Inc.
Wow! This is a man who is running for office based on his abilities, eduction, and proven record of accomplishment.
Look at his background in economics!
Oh, did I mention that this American patriot just happens to be black? An American of African descent as it were.
Because of his education AND practical experience, Mr. Cain has far more going for him than the color of his skin.
This is no intellectual elitist who speaks in professorial baby talk which sounds terrific, but which completely lacks substance.
Herman Cain does not talk down to people, nor does he woo voters with flowery promises of Hope and Change, and other leftist campaign pap.
Herman Cain would never use the federal government to bankrupt American industry.
Herman Cain understands private enterprise. He HAS met payrolls and successfully managed multiple businesses.
Herman Cain would NEVER burden American taxpayers with a trillion-dollar stimulus plan.
Herman Cain would never promote job-killing regulations and higher taxes.
Herman Cain was a key player in defeating socialized medicine during the Clinton presidency.
Herman Cain would not make the closure of GITMO a major, or even minor, priority of his administration.
Herman Cain would never insist that terrorists caught on the battlefield be read their Miranda Rights and tried in civilian courts.
Herman Cain understands and respects the U.S. military.
Herman Cain is an American citizen and owns no baggage which challenges his eligibility to serve as President.
Herman Cain LOVES America!
Herman Cain MUST be on the Republican presidential ticket in 2012!
Herman Cain: Lets CHANGE America back to the great nation we used to be!
Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain criticized the name of a hunting camp once leased by Gov. Rick Perry’s family as “just plain insensitive” in an appearance on Fox News Sunday.
On This Week earlier, fellow candidate Herman Cain reacted negatively to the news, criticizing Perry for going there so frequently. Christiane Amanpour reviewed the details of the camp with Cain, and while pointing out that the word in question may have been painted out, she asked the African-American candidate his take on the story. Cain wasted no time in sharing his candid thoughts on the matter
Hey, it’s a free country and we can each see what we choose to see. I for one don’t watch any alphabet channels including F-O-X. But the truth will out. Like the cut’n’paste above from two different Freerepublic threads today. May the best Republican candidate win!
I didn’t see the ABC interview, so knew nothing about it.
Also, Cain’s bio was taken from The Canada Free Press which sub-titles “Because without America there can be no Free World”.
According to the past, (as in 2000, 2004, and 2008) unfortunately, the best candidate didn’t win.
If the American voter would seriously educate themselves on the candidates, and if the GOP would support the people’s choice, that would level the field.
In fact the last Rep[ublican I worked very hard for was Ronald Wilson Reagan. I can’t think of a president since his administration that I’ve liked.
I'm thinking it is still early and I have not locked up my mind on anyone yet, but I like what an earlier poster said; If I have to enter the booth I won't be holding my nose if Cain is on the ballot.
