Exactly
They are probably all moving to NY
One of the reasons for texas “economic growth” is cheap illegal labor.. as Perry how many jobs were created for AMERICAN citizens
Go Bama!!!!!!
Why are you so eager to believe those without a record over someone with a defined record of doing many things on the issue?
If you elect someone who doesn't have a relationship with the community, an understanding of the community, a tougher law-and-order approach will be political suicide for Republicans just as it was in CA.
It is by no accident that Perry emphasizes the problems of illegal drugs and human trafficking in talking about the issue and need for border security. He is able to deftly handle the message issue.
Many not in border states, not familiar with how CA was lost, advocate taking on a suicide mission I'd just as soon the GOP don't take on because Democrats will be more than happy to help and we cannot have a permanent Democrat-controlled White House.
It may be a no-win situation for Republicans but they shouldn't make it so easy for Democrats.
Let's climb off the rhetorical ledge. His defense of in-state tuition... he's always opposed the Federal DREAM Act because it is amnesty just as he opposed the Bush/McCain "comprehensive immigration reform" for giving away citizenship.

“How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico”
Great article. You should post it, although that would make the Perrybots climb the walls.
The real question if one of political will and salesmanship. Ike didn't have to worry about a demographic nightmare of millions of illegals squatting and having American citizen children across decades. The politics were not problem. CA's Prop 187, however, demonstrated that problem exists today in a very real, very permanent way.
The issue needs a strong law-and-order approach using kid gloves, not a bludgeon that will send millions of votes to Democrats permanently.
I'm not sure the problem can be solved permanently because the next administration can always back off on enforcement like Obama.
Mexico enjoys 5.4% employment. We should be so fortunate. However, Mexico's economy is dependent upon money wired home from the U.S.
Exactly.
We need a conservative candidate to face Obama, not another pro-ILLEGAL alien liberal.
Last year, about mid-Iowa on Interstate 80, we stopped at a Wal-Mart that was across the road from a Tyson plant. W-M was PACKED with Somalis, all in native dress. I made a point to watch 'em check out. Almost all used EBT cards (I'd stand behind and watch 'em swipe.) One had their card come up empty, so she just reached in and pulled out another one.
When my turn came up I told the clerk that our taxes were paying for all those cards. Deer-in-headlights look.
Haven't bought Tyson in a long time.
Every illegal run out is a big plus! Every journey starts with the first step!
“Here the problem: California, New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois. The Hispanics control the swing votes in these states. “
Exactly. This doesn’t excuse some of the soft-on-illegal-immigration positions of some leading Republicans, but it does explain it.
Cali, New York and Illinois are gone.
If Republicans lose Texas and Florida, kiss USA goodbye.
I grew up in a couple of really tiny towns -- well, then were tiny back then -- between B'ham and Cullman and we had never seen a latino person, as far as I can remember.
Heard a report on the local radio news that bus tickets are selling out in Alabama. What a novel idea....self-deportation. Who’d a thunk it?

Pretty much all of us who are against open borders...so Perry’s not included in that group.
Hoover has a bunch of apartments that even have a handy area for day laborers to hang out (Lorna Road) a few Hispanic catering groceries (Mercado y Carneceria) and the sidewalks are only in the areas to and from the day labor hangout areas (again on Lorna Road until it turns into 150)There are cowboy shops (El Campesino, El Galope, and one other on hghwy 31 that I can’t remember the name of) Places to send money, even an Abogada para immigracion or some such-—I have to drive through the area daily so I see quite a bit. Although they did close down one of the apartment complexes ready to replace it with high end townhouses. Only been here 5 years thats how it was when we moved here.
