This shows what can be done when you elect people that are SERIOUS about dealing with ILLEGAL immigration, unlike Rick Perry.

“Llorame un rio de lagrimas.”

Nice. And for those of you who don’t speak Hispanic, that means: “Cry me a river of tears”.

Awesome.

What fast results. You can tell by that ‘natural move’ (meaning no one rounded them up and kicked them out), that the policy is sound and effective.

Kudos Alabama!

NYC and NJ will never get that with Bloomie and Christie.

To all those on here who actually think Cristie is conservative, you’re out of your mind.

He’s the best thing we’ve had in like forever over in NJ, but that’s not saying much in terms of conservatism. Someone who isn’t insane and actually cares about balanced books and lowering taxes (like Christie) isn’t that high a standard for conservatism. I mean I would at least hope these views are shared by any SANE person, moderate or conservative.

Christie is great for NJ and the NYC area from a promoting non-liberal economics perspective, but he is way too far liberal/mopderate to represent conservatives nationally and bring the real change and HOPE (lol always love saying that) that we need in Washington.

“scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children” ...”reported a sudden exodus of children”

Scores are an “exodus”?

They may be keeping the children home, but they are still here. The Tyson chicken processing plant up in Boaz, AL is still full of them. The entire Sand Mountain area up there, Boaz, Gunnersville, Abertville, etc. are covered with them. Local WalMart is little Mexico City on weekends. The place is packed with them.

I don't care how many LEGAL immigrants come here and from what countries. Mexicans are welcome IF they follow the law, come here legally, get the work permits, find a job, work, live, pay taxes like everyone else. ALL are welcome. That is what America is. But, I do not support illegals from anywhere! I don't care if they come from England, france, Germany, Norway. If they are illegal, they are illegal, period. Come under the law and be welcomed. Come illegally and you need kicked out. That simple.

And keep in mind that we’re talking something like $10,000 of government money getting freed up each time a kid splits from school. Ideally, a lot other states will do the same, and the illegals will be driven to places like California and the Northeast...except that the Northeast will get sick of it, so they’ll have to take California - and then it will get interesting.

Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.
............................................................

And keeping scores of kids home , doesn’t draw attention

DUH!!!!!

Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

If you pass it, they will leave.

“Scores are an “exodus”?

It’s a hell of a lot better than Perry’s doing here in Texas.

Keep in mind, it’s been like one week.

I also noticed that my Saturday morning yard sale-ing was conspicuously thin on the latino contingent here in Guadala-Hoover.

“They may be keeping the children home, but they are still here.”

It takes time to move, and Alabama’s measures are still not that strong. There is a LONG WAY to go before anyone can claim that making a state hostile to illegals won’t matter.

...and those parents WILL leave, if they are scared of being outed by their kids.

Thank you for your service.

The illegals who don't have increase visibility as a result of children in school won't move along as quickly. The people we know in the construction business in Madison/Athens area already know their people will self deport.

Same thing is happening in Arizona since they passed their law too.

So much for blaming the feds and not doing anything about it.

Gotta have that federal student support money.

Texas isn’t serious about illegals because illegals, or the advantages provided by them in “cheap” labor, are too popular with so many.

Bravo Alabama!

“Texas isn’t serious about illegals because illegals, or the advantages provided by them in “cheap” labor, are too popular with so many.”

And that’s really Perry’s problem here. He is simply OWNED by the large employers who need cheap, reliable, labor. It’s that simple and pretty much explains just about all of his problems.

We need a CONSERVATIVE as president, if we ever want to control the border.
