Bill Clinton thinks he deserves more credit for reforming welfare and balancing the budget.
“I go crazy every time I read the conventional wisdom,” he said Friday night at his presidential library in Little Rock, Ark. “So part of the Republican narrative is that I was ‘saved’ from myself by the election of the Republican Congress [in 1994] that ‘forced me’ to do welfare reform and ‘made the balanced budget possible.’”
Clinton said reporters and commentators “keep saying this, overlooking all relevant facts.”

I give him credit for that stupid and complicated TV Show rating system that pretty much allows TV shows to do what they want at anytime they want, and long as they display the correct codes at the beginning. Morality on TV took a huge drop after his system went into effect. . Before it we could name a few shows we would not want our young ones to watch. Now it’s hard to find ones they can. Even the cartoons have gone bad.

This man is making an old fool of himself in front of the world. Standing on stage in front of people whining and cry babying all over the place. Why is his need to be in the limelight so great? He has not shut up since he left office. He just seems to ramble on and on and make a fool of himself over and over. His time is OVER. He had his time and he disgraced the office,his family and himself by his vile behaviors. He disrespected the Oval Office. He had his time in the highest office in the land and he blew it big time.
George W. Bush was elected over Gore and when 8 years were up obama was elected into office. So...I wonder... why is he STILL bellyaching about things after all these years?
He needsto to go away with dignity and follow the path of George Bush enjoying his retirement with family and friends, playing golf and working with the wounded warriors. He loves that and gets out and rides with them and does so much for so many. That’s the way the post presidency should be handled. It should be handled with dignity, grace, character and remaining in the background allowing the current president his due no matter who he is. Somehow...clinton just can’t seem to get by all of that and do what is right. Too bad. So sad.
He certainly was the only one responsible for his own legacy... we all know what it was. No need to elaborate. It was a huge disgrace brought down on the office of the President.
His personal behavior in the oval office along with his impeachement will always and forever be his legacy ... brought on by himself and himself alone.

Mary Matalin explained this phenomenom over a decade ago. When a Democrat politician gets caught with a dead girl or a live boy, America just shrugs because, well, corrupt and disgraceful behavior is expected from Democrats. Just look at their nature: Democrat voters walk into the polling place and vote for their big government Democrat politicians to confiscate more money from their neighbors at the point of a gun. Is it possible to be any more selfish and rude and shameless than that?
Republicans, on the other hand, are held to a much higher standard because Republicans are expected to be the grown ups in the room. To put it in '50s TV lingo, the Republicans are Ward Cleaver and the Democrats are Eddie Haskell.

Clinton was an 8 year stain on the Presidency, and he did more to open the door for other ethically challenged POS' to get in the door than anyone before or since.
