WASHINGTON - Late Friday, the White House turned over new documents in the Congressional investigation into the ATF "Fast and Furious" gunwalking scandal.
The documents show extensive communications between then-ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office Bill Newell - who led Fast and Furious - and then-White House National Security Staffer Kevin O'Reilly. Emails indicate the two also spoke on the phone. Such detailed, direct communications between a local ATF manager in Phoenix and a White House national security staffer has raised interest among Congressional investigators looking into Fast and Furious. Newell has said he and O'Reilly are long time friends.
ATF agents say that in Fast and Furious, their agency allowed thousands of assault rifles and other weapons to be sold to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels. At least two of the guns turned up at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last December.

The answer that I know about and have been watching to see if it happened is as follows: The border gun dealers who were fronting the gun sales should have had immunity letters from a govt agency to protect them. What the dealers were doing was illegal as hellonitsface. Such immunity, to be effective, would have to come from Holder or higher. In the absence of immunity you can expect to see the dealers get prosecuted along with anyone else involved. Further , the dealers can expect to be sued by the families of anyone hurt/killed as a result of this dumbass clusterflock. If immunity was involved there would have to be copies on the other end. But this White Hut bunch is so poly-thumbed that they might have tried to do the whole thing over the phone?

Eric Holder has already testified under oath that "I KNOW NOTHING.". AG PERGURY gets to be a problem for Eric and for Boy Wonder..

Considering that there are no reports of the gun dealers getting immunity, verbally or written, there probably wasn’t any.
My guess is that the gun dealers were ensnared by being askrf to do some relatively innocuous, that when done, turned out to be highly prosecutable. To avoid prosecution, they had to become biatches of the ATF and had to keep doing ATF’s bidding.
Might save his life.

Yeah, I know Holder, and probably Obama too, but it’s a matter of meeting the requirements of a criminal trial, which as yet is obviously not the case because they haven’t picked him up yet.
But my point was, if I was going to do some that could be prosecutable in the event it went sideways, there would be zero documentation and I wouldn’t use the White House computers. I would use a throwaway email account at the public library and I would also instruct everybody to do the same. I would not use a system where everything entered is archived and retrievable.

If Holder, Obama, and whomever, were knowingly doing something illegal, why wouldn’t they forge documents that either show Gunwalker to be with good intents or have any documentation at all?<
Because issa has gone slow, deliberate and done a good investigation. Issa already had the links from the white house locked in. For the white house to change it now would be outright forgery and to say that they don’t have anything would be perjury.
