Five severed HEADS found in sack outside Mexican primary school in latest sickening threat from drugs cartels

Mexican police have found five severed heads stuffed in a sack outside a primary school in the Pacific coast resort of Acapulco.

The gruesome discovery comes after drugs gangs threatened to attack elementary school teachers if they did not pay half their wages to the drugs cartels.

The extortion demands forced around 130 schools in the city to close earlier this month, after administrators and parents decided it was not safe enough to start classes.

“administrators and parents decided it was not safe enough to start classes”.

...wise choice. A friend of mine is living in Ajijic, Mexico. He went there about 3 months after Obama got in. He encouraged me to go as well. I’m glad I turned it down.

The way to stop this is to end the insane war on drugs tomorrow. It has killed more people than drugs ever did, except for alcohol. It corrupts our law enforcement and judiciary, and fostered the growth of a leviathan police state that would have been utterly foreign to our founding fathers.

The other thing that would be needed is a reform of Mexican gun laws. Let the common man go armed, and shoot these thugs down like mad dogs.

Those two actions would cut the number of innocent people killed by 90 percent in one year.

That’s pretty hilarious. You seem to think we can solve all our problems by giving a good speech. Sounds familiar somehow...

Either that or you’re really really angry.

Drug cartels....the Taliban of Mexico

This is heading our way as the Mexican people don't have the money to satisfy the cartels.

I forgot to add, neither of those reactions is terribly productive.

Unfortunately we don't have the will to do what it takes to win.

It's Mexico's problem. Let Mexico deal with it.

If we want a war, I'm sure the cartels will give us one. Do we want nightclub bombings in San Diego? College students beheaded in El Paso? For all the violence that goes on in Mexico, the cartels have been largely successful at keeping it on their side of the border. That'll change the moment we stick our noses into it.

As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with 7 wives.

Each wife had seven sacks.

This crime will be easy to solve.

I always liked that riddle ...

As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives;
Every wife had seven sacks,
Every sacks had seven cats,
Every cat had seven kittens ...
Kits, cats, sacks, wives:
How many were going to St. Ives?

Think of illegal immigration this way: If enough Mexicans come here to live - we will BE Mexico: with gangs, with super elites, with children selling trinkets, with dollar an hour wages, with human heads at elementary schools.

Is there any way to stop the cartels? Sure doesn’t appear to be. They are winning.

Yeah. Pray with faith. God can handle this.

The word “severed” in the headline really isn’t necessary, it would seem to me.

Given that some of those cartels are employing some very highly-trained folks who used to be members of Mexico's military (who were in fact trained to fight the cartels), probably not. This whole mess is going to get a lot bloodier before it gets better. The cartels are not afraid of the Mexican government, and they are deploying some very heavy weaponry to boot. I'm surprised we aren't seeing Mexican aircraft being brought down by the cartels. About the only thing they are afraid of is the US military.

With the cartels murdering police and elected officials along with innocent bystanders, I can’t blame people for not wanting to fight them.

The entire expanse of the US/Mexico border should be carpet bombed, daisy cut, MOAB’d, napalmed and then sprayed with a good dose of Agent Orange, DDT, and pepper spray powder. On the southern side.

In some ways it's very similar to the situation in Iraq or Afghanistan. There are plenty of people who want the Taliban out of Afghanistan or the insurgents out of Iraq, but when you start talking about fighting a group of people who have no qualms about kidnapping, torturing, and murdering your children, your siblings, their children, your parents, and so on, you start running out of volunteers fast.

It's a very sad and bad situation. The cartels know how to create fear. I don't care how tough somebody says they are - if their actions trying to fight the cartels could lead to the kidnap, torture, and death of their children and other family members, attitudes change quickly. The Mexican government even tries to hide the identities of members of units that target the cartels by making them wear masks, changing their names, etc., and the cartels still find them out.

I honestly can't think of an easy solution out of this mess short of foreign intervention (which would be costly and bloody), and the cartels are very cautious about directly engaging the United States or other countries in the region. They aren't busting through American checkpoints on the border with trucks loaded with fighters and drugs, they are breaking up the drug shipments in small quantities and relying on individual smugglers and illegal immigrants to carry them through the border. As much as it pains me to say it though, I think it's only a matter of time before they do something along the border that we can't ignore.
