Gov. Chris Christie is seriously rethinking his months of denials and may launch a campaign for the White House after all, a source close to the governor said tonight.
In the last week, Christie has been swayed away from his earlier refusals to run by an aggressive draft effort from a cadre of Republicans and donors unhappy with the GOP field, said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

So is the guy who planned to explode those large model planes at the Pentagon and Capitol Dome. Christie is an arrogant ass. Like Levin said, there are thousands of qualified lawyers in NJ. Why appoint a controversial jihad defender? Sorry, Ann Coulter...no dice.
Sounds a lot like.....FACEBOOK!!
He needs to stay here in NJ. He is Campaigning in LA for Jindal? ( Isn’t he guaranteed reelection)
I guess there are no chances of picking up state Senate or Assemnbly seats at home? Because or redistricting and bad tie breaker choice.
Having said that, I am not prepared to support him in the primary. If he did get the nomination I would support him. Hell, I would vote for Chumlee on Pawnstars over 0bama.
They did??? Don’t watch that channel but I certainly take your word for it.
NO.
We can’t let the establishment pick our candidate ever again.
This is WE THE PEOPLE’s election.
Yanno, I was skeptical about Florida moving up its primary, I’m rethinking that in light of a potential CHristie run. The field we have is the one we should go with. For the record, I’m for Cain.(as much as I like Sarah)
Well said.
I, too, was willing to give Perry a chance but am not impressed..I contributed to Herman Cain last night...my first contribution to an announced candidate.
I stopped last year giving to the RNC and instead, spent my hard earned money on the individual candidates around the country (I’m in Pa.). They include, Pat Toomey, Sam Rohrer, Allen West, Tim Scott, Scott Brown and SarahPac. I’m keeping my powder dry for the primaries and beyond.
I may be out of work this spring and am willing to spend my time working fulltime for our nominee through November.
New jersey is not in the bag for Hussein. A lot of local elections went republican in 2010. People are fed up with high taxes and cost of living. We also have a couple of pretty big tea party groups here. I wouldn’t write it off as blue just yet.
If he doesn’t get in, the VP nom is still Rubio OR Christie. Who doesn’t remember Richard Schweiker?
Please run, we need someone to split the Romney voters.
Well, let the establishment push Crispy. He will flame out and then perhaps they will have reluctantly get behind a conservative? Unless, folks are afraid of Crispy?
No matter the GOPean establishment is not going to willingly embrace a Cain or a Palin.
Let me try this again...
Well, let the establishment push Crispy. He will flame out and then perhaps the GOPean establishment will reluctantly get behind a conservative? Unless, folks here on FR are afraid of Crispy could actually get the nomination?
No matter the GOPean establishment is not going to willingly embrace a Cain or a Palin.
As a Delawarian, allow me to remind that in the middle of our struggle to get rid of that entrenched politico whose picture should be under the word RINO....Mike Castle, that Christie came out and ENDORSED HIM!!
He has nothing but my venom and spite and believe that he is owned full barrell by the Karl Rove/Bush wing of the party.
We got rid of Castle DESPITE Christie but I’ll never forget.
Christie REFUSED to participate in the suit against Obamacare. [you do realize he is Governor of New Jersey; not exactly a state for conservatives]
He was the ONLY Republican to attend a dinner in honor of the Red Chinese Ambassador hosted by Obama. Many OTHER Republicans were invited but refused to attend. [hmmm, I thought China hating went out with Nixon/Kissinger]
Hes a RINO along the John McCain model. [Oh, so he is a Palin ally too; got it]
I welcome him running as he will split the RINO vote. But I don;t want him nominated. [No, we agree he should not get the nomination; Reagan chose Bush as his VP running mate; if Christie is the VP we will just have to hope for health and long life for the top of the ticket, although he may become more conservative on a national level; just not ready to choose him over the other Republicans; he is not a RINO though; McCain apparently flirted with becoming a Dem; I don’t see Christie doing that in NJ]
Oh, I'm sure his handlers in the GOP will make him tack center on RKBA...you know...rights to hunt duck and such....
...but I say no more anti-gun RINOs, EVER!
are you saying that Mark Levin is pro Christie for president
“Im finding this all very amusing. The RINOs are desperately looking around for a RINO we can be fooled into thinking is a conservative. They see someone conservatives have applauded for one reason or another and think that would make him a viable candidate. I dont think theyll ever get it.”
Exactly.
All I had to hear from Christie is his comments about “reaching across the aisle” and how “both sides have to compromise”... well, so much for THAT guy.
And, of course, the RINOS are going to have the Marxist Media on their side, because they KNOW that in this climate the conservatives in the Republican party (which means US) AREN’T going to hold their noses and vote for another pathetic RINO loser again.
Krispy Kreme is going to “run”? Wow, this I gotta see.
So he’s really “weighing in” huh?
