GOP House Oversight and Government Reform chair Rep. Darryl Issa has questions for Ford CEO Alan Mulally about the White House Ford fiasco.
In a new letter Mulally received today, Rep. Issa requests more information and notes that he is deeply concerned about undue political pressure exerted by the White House on public companies. Issa asks Mulally the same question I asked White House press flack Dan Pfeiffer yesterday (and which Pfeiffer refused to answer): Did any White House officials or any other current or former administration officials contact any Ford officials/employees to discuss the anti-bailout ad? He also asks whether any UAW employees, Obama for America staff, or DNC staff did likewise.
Heres the full, seven-page letter:
Glad we have some representatives in Washington confronting the White House bully problem.

BUMP
All things considered, I’d prefer to see subpoenas or indictments.
....but Issa doesn’t seem to be anywhere near done “poking” yet.....
Ethics was not Barry’s favorite class.
Shouldn’t Issa be focused on Gunwalker and Solyndra? He seems to be not getting anywhere with that and now he wants to fool around with this less than important issue. People are dying with Gunwalker and massive amounts of cash are gone from the public with Solyndra.
with all this crap coming out, Issa will need a 72hr day to get through it all with a rather large shovel needed to lift the bullcrap.
Rumor has it that Issa has (or at least has seen) a memo linking “Fast and Furious” with WH politos and their push for more gun control.
Sounds like he’s no longer afraid of going after them. He’s gotta have something.
Is Issa the only Pubbie in the House who is actually doing his job?
its all about making sure it ll gets noticed, the more muck flung back at them, the more the muck will stick and paint a crappy picture of this administration.
I love Issa, but I think we need to keep him focused on Fast and Furious. Distractions aren’t good.
There are other pubbies on this committee. They need assign one of them to each scandal. They can start using pubbie aids and assistants when they run out of congressmen.
a book of Obama’s corruption, by now its the size of a large mail order catalogue.
My fear is that they are going to be so busy documenting the corruption that they have no time to prosecute.
Issa’s getting distracted. These typical graft/corruption charges aren’t going to do anything to Obama, but the fact that there’s over 200 dead from the ATF is a dangerous scandal that is a real threat. These other investigations are dead ends.
death by a thousand cuts
Darryl Issa for President....
Lordy lordy, he’s like a pit bull, isn’t he?
Fortunately, unlike some posters on this thread, Issa and his committee aren't one note Johnny pinheads and are actually capable of doing more than one thing at a time.
I saw this on the news briefly. This is huge.Obama has so much crime and corruption I can’t keep up.
Nachum post the long list again.
All things considered, Id prefer to see subpoenas or indictments.
