Several of Barack Obama's top campaign supporters went from soliciting political contributions to working from within the Energy Department as it showered billions in taxpayer-backed stimulus money on alternative energy firms, ABC News and iWatch News have learned.
One of them was Steven J. Spinner, a high-tech consultant and energy investor who raised at least $500,000 for the candidate. He became one of Energy Secretary Steven Chu's key loan program advisors while his wife's law firm represented a number of companies that had applied for loans.
Recovery Act records show Allison Spinner's law firm, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, received $2.4 million in federal funds for legal fees related to the $535 million Energy Department loan guarantee to Solyndra, a solar company whose financial meltdown has prompted multiple investigations. She pledged to take no portion of the money and did not work on the loan applications.

Don't be. It probably is just for their on-line edition. Note that even though it scandalous is not even in the list of latest headline news articles. It is in another section listed at the bottom of the front-page webpage below the “recipes” and next to the “health” articles. It probably won't be there long. Be really shocked if ABC news reports it on their news broadcast and actually does some investigative journalism. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one!

ABC alone has given me some hope over the past few years that the alphabets are not paid tools of the democrat, socialist party. They don’t just turn around and spout the party line like good little children 100% of the time.
They still can’t bring themselves to report anything REALLY damaging about the left, but every so often I see signs of hope.
Speaking of those green firms, someone oughta look into any Environmental Impact Statements and EPA approvals. My bet is rules were bent and/or broken for those firms....
Yeah, CBS is not going to be left behind either as they are the only one doing anything with Fast and Furious...so look for a shot from them too.
We are not yet at the point where we get everyone of them throwing harpoons but if anyone one of these draws some blood, the sharks will circle because they know his excellency has been wounded and they have to save any piece of dignity they have.
Impeachment for the wannabe Dictator and prison time for all his cronies in DC and elsewhere. New use for Gitmo? Enemies of the USA and freedom should all rot together, IMO.
Whew...at least Obama didn't have any lobbyists in his address book.
A few nights ago, ABC had a Nightline piece on anti-aircraft missiles looted out of Libya. They hinted that the administration wasn’t doing enough...and disporoved administration claims that everything was under control, by visiting a looted site.
I think the Clinton camp is taking back the party - even if it means potentially losing this election. Somebody has to be nudging the media in this direction.
Oh, don’t worry. They’ll trip over their own feet trying to spin it where Obama looks good. Remember when the MSM finally had to report on Bill Clinton’s scandal with Monica Lewinsky. They didn’t want to really, but they had to. That was spun just like they were ordered to spin it by the regime; until the House Managers and Ken Starr were demonized soundly for daring to cross their “hero”.

The Democrat Elites have decided it’s time to kick Barry to the curb. They’ve decided that Solyndra is the tool they’ll use to do it. Look for a continued drip-drip-drip of these stories from unlikely sources.
The only sure cure for "Gang Green" is amputation. The sooner the better!

Bingo! You are so right and I don’t think it is more complicated than that. Except that some of this money will find its way back to the Obamas somehow, like it did with the Clintons, as it always does with secret despots. When they are no longer secret, the despot takes over the treasury for personal use.

US SunShot initiative backs promising solar firms with $5.8m
The US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has handed out $5.8m to a quartet of promising solar technology companies as part of its high-profile SunShot Incubator programme.
Tigo Energy was given more than $3m to pilot a low-cost DC arc-fault detector, which is designed to enhance the safety of PV arrays while reducing operations and maintenance costs for system owners.

Gore’s cleantech fund to finance Tigo Energy Inc., which develops solutions to maximize output by photovoltaic installations.
Tigo Energy Inc. has raised $10 million in its third financing round plus a $10 million credit line from Climate Solutions Fund LP, managed Generation Investment Management LLP, whose chairman is former US Vice President Al Gore. Tigo develops solutions to maximize output by photovoltaic installations.
