Hiya NavyCanDo...a very happy birthday to Brennan!
I do believe from experiance that children who are exposed to & taught gun safety early on learn the proper respect for them.
Good on you NavyCanDo!
Yeah...I am hitting the sack...NOW! LOL
I bet you are exhausted! Gavin is absolutly beautiful!
And is that a smile already? :)
I hope Mary is doing well....not an easy ordeal for her!
Such an angel!
Good evening, (((Sis)))
I’m very sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I will pray that you are better soon.
I will also pray for Dawn’s mother....may she begin to recover from all these heart problems and please give her and Dawn strength as they deal with all of this.
Ingredients
Makes about 1 generous cup of ricotta...you can't imagine the difference from store bought!
3 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Pour the milk, cream and salt into a 3-quart nonreactive saucepan. Attach a candy or deep-fry thermometer. Heat the milk to 190°F, stirring it occasionally to keep it from scorching on the bottom. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice, then stir it once or twice, gently and slowly. Let the pot sit undisturbed for 5 minutes.
Line a colander with a few layers of cheesecloth and place it over a large bowl (to catch the whey). Pour the curds and whey into the colander and let the curds strain for at least an hour. At an hour, youll have a tender, spreadable ricotta. At two hours, it will be spreadable but a bit firmer, almost like cream cheese. (It will firm as it cools, so do not judge its final texture by what you have in your cheesecloth.) Discard the whey, or, if youre one of those crafty people who use it for other things, of course, save it. Eat the ricotta right away or transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
Prayers up for Dawns Mom Ms~!

Thank you, Sweetie!
This touching photo is from Operation Enduring Freedom.
Note how this little Afghan baby girl is fascinated by the flag on this female soldiers uniform.

Good evening, Sis.
I am getting a spot ready for myself on the sofa.
I feel like a wrung out dishrag.
*UGH*
A hot cup of tea, a fuzzy blanket..
and Minette should do the trick.
I have to comfort myself, Mr B is at rehearsal.
Sweet dreams Conor & rest well! *hugs*
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.
Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.
Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.
Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.
I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.
I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
May she Rest In Peace.
Rest in peace TeresawithoutanH & welcome to the angel choir.
Prayers for all who knew & loved her for peace & comfort.
Sending love to you Kathy for the loss of your friend tho she goes to a better place. {{{Kathy}}}
