A Senator is accusing the United States government of selling guns to the "underworld," and that he is being "stonewalled" in his investigation.
Newsmax reports that Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley said this operation was similar to the "Fast and Furious" scheme in which the government sent guns to Mexico, and then tracked them to determine which ones were used in crimes.
“It’s hard to distinguish between the two, but evidence has come out that the orders came down from Justice that our agents were supposed to take taxpayers money, buy guns that shouldn’t have been sold, get them to the underworld,” Grassley told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. “The sale was made to the underworld. It happens to be that in this particular case, the federal government made a little bit of money, but that’s not the main issue.
“The main issue is that you would think they would arrest the people that bought them illegally -- no, they were told to just follow the guns -- they followed the guns to a storehouse. They would not have 24-hour surveillance except for one of the agents decided to stay there six days,” Grassley said. “A truck came along to load up the guns. They called for help to arrest them in the process of transferring the guns, but they wouldn’t send anybody to arrest them, so the guns got over -- got some place, maybe over the border -- and they were never traced, which was the purpose of the operation in the first place.”
Grassley said he is trying to investigate, but the Justice Department is not cooperating.
“There’s something sinister going on -- they’re doing everything they can to avoid the issue -- they want to stonewall us and string us along,” Grassley said.
Van Susteren said she had a letter from the Justice Department to Grassley saying that allegations are false.
“It is a false statement from the Department of Justice -- they knew about this -- I made reference to this in my first letter as they indicated, and the order came directly to an ATF agent to make the sale,” Grassley said.

I would suggest that Sen. Grassley obtain more security.

About as clear an example of the government against We the People as exists..
I believe that Obama and Holder are directly tied into this Gunwalker mess. That Obama was not kidding when he told Mrs. Brady that they were working under the radar.
I also believe that sooner or later Sen. Grassley will be told to ease the investigation and it will all dissappear.
Most of the American Public is still unaware this is even going on , thanks to the Obamedia.
I cannot force myself to believe that anyone at the top will be brought to justice in this case. I just cannot see it happening.
Now answer the question of “Why would the do this?”
And then follow that with “With what ultimate goal?”
Answers:
to implement gun restrictions for Americans
with the goal of dictatorial takeover with little resistance
Because we have the FBP at this time in history?
or because this is just too big of an evil for the common man to accept in our own government?
or, back to the first reason, those involved have the luxury of an impenetrable melanin-based shield against criticism and ethics charges?
If our leaders, and us, won’t stand up to this, they will know they can do whatever they want because there is no one to hold them accountable. Somehow the guilty people MUST be held accountable.

I think part of the problem with ‘traction’ has been this talk vs. action on the part of Congress. Sure, we’ve had hearings and such, but it just seems stalled. Time to take the gloves off. But I’m not sure Grassley is that interested.
Go farther. Weapons were also “walked” to Guatemala and points south to marxist rebels. They made their way to Honduras as well. MARXIST rebels. We don’t know how many or where they ended up.
Why should that be a surprise when we have a MARXIST as president?
It’s quite possible that they are overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of this entire government-run operation...and they are scared to death because it is only the tip of the iceberg. The more they find out, the bigger and more heinous the crimes involved. And they involve all the intel services and the entire justice department along with the state department and the president of the United States. Think about it.
This is high treason.
That could be. But it’s not a good picture, is it. In any case it even more demands action.
