I guess then more Americans should have gone there to get the work.
I’m sure the number is high, but I don’t think it’s THAT high. I’m not defending this guy...I’m not a fan, for sure...but I hate when we do this crap. Save this kind of exaggeration for the Dem candidate.
Nice Try but you and your ilk might try toning down the over the top barrage. People might start suspecting you're lying and give Perry some sympathy.
If I were you I would stick to the "Rick Perry hates America and 12 year old girls,his 12 year record as Texas Governor and Lt.Governor is all smoke and mirrors and he loves Muslims and Mexicans more than the people he defended as an Air Force Pilot. He really despises his own parents and all that salt of the earth thing too."
The link you provided failed. Obviously, this is another BS hit piece from an obscure source. Yet you run with it anyway.
Doing the dirty work for the Left for free I see.
81% Of Texas Job Growth Under Perry Went To Immigrants
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is not true. This has already been debunked. There are previous FR threads with more info if anyone cares.
But the truth is... Who does care? If you don’t like Perry - you are gonna glom onto to this like a dog on a bone.
If you do like Perry (and if this crap was true) - it still wouldn’t change your mind.
Cali would be glad to send Perry and the great state of Texas a few million more cholos and their familias... please spread the word.
By their own admissions their numbers were a guess. I own a business that returns disabled people to the workforce in Texas, when this report first came out it started a stir but after review we found that the research was dubious at best and nothing more than an academic backed attack on Perry and the State of Texas.
Guess the author hasn’t ridden around Dallas, Houston or San Antonio. There are lots of cars down here from most of the other 57 states. Plus, the illegals have been self deporting since the housing industry hit the skids.
Perhaps they are not in your part of the state...Texas will become increasingly a Democrat state. The graph below is projections based on 1990-2000 trends, I'm sure it's much worse based on 2000-2010 projections.
>>> Im sure the number is high, but I dont think its THAT high. Im not defending this guy...Im not a fan, for sure...but I hate when we do this crap. Save this kind of exaggeration for the Dem candidate. >>
Exactly. This is a poorly thought out hit piece. OF COURSE most of the jobs created in the last four years went to people who just moved to a state - ANY STATE - that’s probably why they moved there in the first place.
And the reason so many who moved to Texas are from Mexico has a lot to do with geography and a poor job by the US Government on the border.
I believe because of this, Perry will win the nomination because it's way too over the top.
When a story such as this one repeatedly conflates illegal immigrants with legal immigrants, it can not be taken seriously.
One of my grandfathers and both of my grandmothers were immigrants. None of them were illegal immigrants.
Lumping them together like the author did is reprehensible.
The link is DEAD.
Is this from the same source that said Perry had new-born babies for breakfast?
All this is is another white house snow job..I would like to ask this question to the morons in Washington,Why don't you fools take care of the borders like we and Perry ask and there would not be so many illegals around not only that but they are letting thousands a day come through and they are drug cartel employees..
Shouldn’t the point be that there is WORK in Texas????????????
The Wall Street Journal wrote an article on Congressional ties to fringe groups like these. Here's what the WSJ wrote about John Tanton. This came from an original FR thread dated June 17, 2004.
"During a immigration subcommittee hearing in March, Mr. Cannon had the gumption to question the executive director of CIS, Mark Krikorian, as well as to challenge Roy Beck, who heads NumbersUSA and serves as "spokesman" for CFAW. After first denying it, Mr. Krikorian was forced to admit that CIS is a spin-off of FAIR. In fact, CIS, FAIR, NumbersUSA, Project-USA -- and more than a half-dozen similar groups that Republicans have become disturbingly comfy with -- were founded or funded (or both) by John Tanton, a retired doctor in Michigan. In addition to trying to stop immigration to the U.S., appropriate population-control measures for Dr. Tanton and his network include promoting China's one-child policy, sterilizing Third World women and wider use of RU-486. FAIR, where Mr. Krikorian once worked, is run by Dan Stein and shares advisers and personnel with CIS and other members of the Tanton nexus. As our Jason Riley noted in a March 15 op-ed, "By Dr. Tanton's own reckoning, FAIR has received more than $1.5 million from the Pioneer Fund, a white-supremacist outfit devoted to racial purity through eugenics." Representative Cannon says, "Tanton set up groups like CIS and FAIR to take an analytical approach to immigration from a Republican point of view so that they can give cover to Republicans who oppose immigration for other reasons."
Perry is another John McCain.
Pick him and Obama will cruise to a second term.
The only people who want Perry are the establishment Republicans, RINOs all, who fear losing control of their party to Tea Party people who want to restore and protect America and its citizens, not the illegal - ILLEGAL - aliens.
