I only found this info since moving over here from England in the last few years.
However I do know that the site I gave was started because of wikipedia but again thank you for that correction.
Like another poster said one could change the letters to before Christs era and Christs era, still IMHO this is all stupid and it should stay as BC AD
Not to sound anti-Semitic, but the first time I read about the BCE/CE thing was in an biblical archeological journal....and it appeared they used it so as not to alienate Jewish readers.
I can understand it must be a bit galling for the whole world to use the date of a man’s birth your religion teaches was wrong...
