If Chris Christie doesn't get into the presidential race, the would-be comics of the MSM might be even more disappointed than the Republican honchos reportedly urging the Jersey gov to run. Yesterday, I noted how ABC's "Good Morning America" managed to work a number of fat cracks into its report on Christie. Today it was the oleaginous Martin Bashir's turn.
Bashir never acknowledged his jokes with a wink and a nod. But from describing Christie as "massively" popular with Republicans, to observing that when it comes to a possible run Christie hasn't "pushed away from the table," to suggesting that it wouldn't be that easy for Christie to "roll over" President Obama, there was no doubting the kind of bashing Bashir was up to.

MSNBC’s Martin Bashir latest MSM to launch lame fat jokes about Christie. Ping to Today show list.
Christie did it to himself. He is disgustingly obese and can do something about it. He choses not to so getting a little ribbing should be expected.
Unless I have forgotten the lessons I have learned especially in light of Moochelle and the fat police it is not your place to tell someone what they should weigh or that “he can do something about it”
I think you are needlessly thin and you can do something about it, and I don’t particularly care for your hair style either. Because you won’t do as I say I am not going to vote for you or even consider you until you do as I say, it is no longer your decision
Look up the definition of a narcissistic personality and then think about it in relationship to your post, this is what we rail against the government doing and then you chime in against another human being in the same manner??
To those who think saying Gov Crisco is fun wait till they find out he is a Catholic, appointed an Islam judge, and selected a pro-choice running mate. He would have trouble passing the Bible belt smell test.
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! Today’s winner of THE STUMP THE CHUMP CONTEST is Mark Finkelstein with the word “oleaginous”. Mark’s prize is an oleaginous tree in Greece. Get there fast to pick it up before some German gets it!
“Christie did it to himself. He is disgustingly obese and can do something about it. He choses not to so getting a little ribbing should be expected.”
it’s a serious health problem but not something to joke about.
The best part was when Jackson's own personal camera man released all the clips of Bashir’s duplicitous behavior.
Yellow journalism? Martin Bashir is the definition.
Why do we give these people ratings?? More people will read about it here, then actually saw it on MSNBCNN.
More of it. A large (no pun intended) % of the voting public is overweight. Let them alienate another bloc.
So fat people are disgusting and deserve to be ridiculed? You sound like one of Michelle's food Nazis.
I luvs me some beef rib bones.
White Republican AND Fat... That is like a HUGE target for the MSM.
Now any other racial group except Asian and Liberal and Fat, and we must be sensitive.
The fat jibes worked out well for Corzine.
Bull crap. I want Christie to have the right to be a repulsive pig. Michelle wants to take his right away from being a tuba lard. I welcome him to be a huge obese slob....free country and all. But as President, it would be too embarrassing.
Now, can you imagine if some republican said that “this was the darkest period in American history.”
The media would have the knives out.
The reality is that we have been ridiculing Michael Moore's morbid obesity for years. Maybe ridiculing the morbidly obese is not "what Jesus would do" but it is a fact of life that it is what we imperfect mortals do.
Huckabee once weighed nearly 300 pounds. Christie needs to have a serious talk with Huckabee.
