Joe McGinniss complained to lefty blog Firedoglake yesterday that almost everyone is canceling interviews in which he was to have discussed his book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin:
Terry Gross [of NPR's Fresh Air] has declined to have me on her show. As have all other NPR shows. My fifteen seconds as part of a report on All Things Considered is all I get from NPR. Im told they are scared of losing more federal funding if right wing Congresspeople complain that they are promoting my book.
FYI, both Morning Joe and Keith Olbermann had me booked for last week, but canceled when they saw which way the wind was blowing.

Well he had a full half hour on Book TV last week and I had to laugh when he said he couldnt use quotes from Republicans because they were afraid to make Palin angry.
Oooo Sarah Palin is such the power house in the Republican party that just scares the crap out of people.
if you have the time to watch the 34 minutes on-line the guy just comes off as a total fool.

Im told they are scared of losing more federal funding if right wing Congresspeople complain that they are promoting my book. Nonsense, they are scared of a huge lawsuit should they give airtime to a known fraud. I suspect Sarah's lawyers have quietly spread the word.

I dont see this as progress as much as it is them wanting to preserve some shred of appearing intellectual. They can see this book for what it is - a poorly written, over the top, hit piece.Liberals define 'intellectual' as a belief in a large laundry list of 50 year old ideas...
Elite liberals replaced thought with 'attitude' and 'feelings' years ago. If I didn't dislike them so much, I'd feel sorry for them...

My guess are the Palins are getting people McGinnis talked to recount their actuaal experiences with him in signed affidavids. Last week, McGinniss' prime source, the infamous Jesse Griffin clammed up hard on his anti-Palin blog after noting that some sort of investigation is under way. So I think you're right.

Go back to the original McGinniss thread from two weeks ago about his unsubstantiated allegations, and you will find about 10-15 of FR's most notorious PDS'ers lapping it all up and declaring his garbage to be the end of Palin.
It was pretty disgusting, and quite frankly, the whole smarmy gang should have been zotted on sight by the mods.
To: lwd
Never read a Kitty Kelly book, but I think her books were well researched and pretty accurate.
