Brilliant.
The whole exercise puts the lie to the idea that Leftwingtards seek non discrimination or that they believe in free speech.
They are uncovered as the Neo-Nazi POS they actually are.
Go Republicans, Go.
They always take flack for it but it's a perfect representation. The libs and progressives on campus refuse to think and see what this action really means.
I do hope he didn't just recently adopt that name. Much better to have something like that INHERITED!
Ha, liberals are such cry babies when their own philosophies and politics are the subject of satire... they, the heros of a just society, ha! The more they piddle with “social justice” the more injustice they produce.
The Aunt Pittypats are swooning over an educational demonstration. Perhaps if one added a banana, a chain saw, a quadruped and a jar of excrement, and removed all clothing of course...that would be fine with them.
So, native-American woman can get the stuff for free.
Then, they can set up their own bake sale and undercut the Young Republicans and put them out of business.
Truth is, that's exactly how Federal contracting is being done right now.
Thanks for posting, ShadowAce! This is a brilliant idea. I laughed when I read some of the students bought a cupcake to throw at them or to simply knock it off the table. Welcome to conservative anger....
If they did the exact same thing, but said it was “to show the income difference due to evil racists and capitalist greed” they would have all gotten hero awards for their ‘sensitivity’.
Obama would be charged 1.38 right? (1/2 of white man price plus 1/2 of black man price)
Berkeley has Republicans!?! Who knew!
“”I completely support the idea of BCR — or any students on campus — (having) political discussion,” ASUC President Vishalli Loomba said. “I think student members of BCR have a full right to express their feelings, but I don’t necessarily think this tactic is constructive. I strongly encourage them to engage in this dialogue in a more constructive manner, such as a forum or a town hall meeting.’
“Constructive,” to a liberal, means conforming to whatever the liberal wants you to do. If any liberal is offended (and liberals are offended by EVERYTHING) it’s NOT “constructive” (by their definition, of course). Thus, by their “reasoning,” Republicans should never do ANYTHING, and certainly never do anything liberals don’t approve of, because it’s not “constructive”.
Glad to see some people getting in their faces about THEIR inherent racism. It’s way past time we stop condoning their childish and destructive behavior.
They can call it whatever they want, but affirmative action is still discrimination. It happens all the time. It’s affected me and mine. My son, for example, was denied an academic scholarship solely because he’s the wrong race. Had he been a minority, he would have received help, but since he’s an evil white guy, he’s held to a higher standard.
Now I know it’s nice if one is on the up side of discrimination. I’m sure a number of white males liked it when they were on top, but what’s that saying? Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Right now, millions of people benefit from racial and sex-based preferences. They’re on the up side of this, and they won’t want to voluntarily relinquish their preferred status any more than a lot of whites (which we did BTW). That’s a shame, because we’ll never have a chance at peace so long as government plays favorites.
Do they accept EBT cards? Food stamps?
“condemns the use of discrimination whether it is in satire or in seriousness by any student group.”
In other news, the student government welcomed the Vagina Monologues returning to campus this year.
Super brilliant!
Republicans, in Berserkley? Who knew? < /sarc >
The Young Republicans have done this before.
I can only hope they'll also point out what HYPICRITES their detractors are.
Having your class admissions based on race is okay, but doing the same for baked goods is racist?
In other words, this is too concrete! You need to move the debate to an abstract form where we can hear about feelings, fairness and correcting social injustice.
CA voted to end such institutionalized racism in higher education admissions with Prop 209 (1996). It's improper for the legislature to attempt circumventing this vote.
