“Just wondering, they always refer to Cain as former Godfathers Pizza CEO...When Odumbo was running did they refer to him as former community organizer? Just saying here like a CEO for a corporation is somehow not as qualified and somebody else?”
Of course, a subtle put-down at every opportunity. How about “former board chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank” or “former president of the National Restaurant Association”? Doesn’t have nearly the put-down potential, of course.
Fact is the kid making the pizzas understands economics better than anybody in the WH.
Pray for America
Eh, that’s mainly AP style but notably it does seem to be abused both for “former” and “Godfather’s” effect...
I don’t consider the oft-quoted reference, “former Godfathers Pizza CEO” derogatory in the slightest. In fact it relates a level of success and competence that we should insist of all our elected representatives. Our government could use MORE business people.
