Almost three years ago millions of Americans were marking a supposed new dawn as they celebrated voting in their first black president.

But Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman claims racism in the U.S. has actually got worse since Barack Obama took office in January 2009.

The film star, who played Nelson Mandela in 2009 film Invictus, told CNN the President has become a target for the Tea Party's ‘racist’ aggression

If America becomes “more racist” under a black democrat president, then the obvious remedy is to replace him with a white republican. Reducing racism is good, right?

Morgan Freeman is really good at his job which is pretending to be someone else. This makes him an expert on anything how?

Actors make a living lying to people. Why should I give a rats backside what they think?

"I’m disappointed in Morgan. Thought he was better than that, and smart enough to know our issues with O have nothing to do with race and everything to do with Marxism and Socialism."

Well stated. I agree.
I still like Morgan, but only as an actor not a political analyst.

Thanks to the most divisive president in American history! I thought Morgan Freeman was a dyed in the wool liberal.

1) That's the foundational reason, and...

2) Right again, liberal right up to the point of taking union scale for his work, then, well,....

Well there is more black on white crime!

Very disappointed in Morgan and liberals, they're so brained damaged or naive that they can't see how miserable Obama's policies have been for the average American that they need to use race to justify the incompetence!

Wasn’t Obama’s election to the presidency a case of reverse racism? Many whites voted for him because it “made them feeeeeel good” washing away the sins of perceived racism of their parents.

Never mind that he and Michelle displayed an anti-American attitude even before his election.

I figure he does. However, the Hollywood Left is getting desperate. Hence, Freeman and company will say every criticism of the President is “racist” regardless of substance. Since he’s a good actor, they figure enough of the easily led populace will buy into that argument and vote accordingly.

Thomas Sowell, Justice Thomas all good, capable men.... And I am leaning toward the amazing Herman Cain in the primaries. So much for racism!

Freeman reveals the basic stupid “reasoning” that is part of most Hollyweird libs. His quote about “they would have tried to get rid of Bill Clinton” says it all ignoring the fact that we did try to get rid of Bill Clinton. I don’t know how anyone can counter this kind of ignorance. Freeman displayed a complete lack of knowledge about what makes this country run. It also says that Obama can expect to get about 95% of the Black vote again next year. Facts mean nothing to people like Freeman.

I noticed this article is from the U.K., where a fan threw a banana at a black NHL hockey player during a game in London.

Morgan Freeman is just regurgitating leftist talking points, i.e. "the TEA party is racist" and sundry other delusions about Barack Obama. The sad truth is that, as long as blacks remain a racial minority in America, the majority will consider themselves disadvantaged and oppressed by 'racism', both real and (mostly) imagined. Morgan Freeman, a successful and likely quite wealthy movie star can't let the racism card go because it explains any and every failure of anyone who is black and, despite Freeman's success, he obviously identifies with black people far more than anyone else, in this case, the mulatto Barack Hussein Obama. Most Americans aren't turning on Obama because he's half-black but because he's a massive failure and his policies, based on Marxist delusions, are hurting people. Does Morgan Freeman really believe that TEA party folks would be O.K. with the current state of our nation if only Obama were white? I doubt it. However, identity politics never allow such a question to be asked.

YOU, Locomotive Breath, have nailed it on the head. Someone whose whole entire life was acting like someone else really can’t have a strong opinion. But CNN, empowers them knowing before hand what spin they’ll make of the news. Racism is coming out more and more, but maybe it isn’t just the majority that has been racist.

Ditto your comments. I too would have thought Morgan would be above the "blacks must always support other blacks no matter what" cult.

Too bad.

Yeah, like Maxine Waters and the Black Caucus. Black racism seems to be rampant.
