Some of Hollywood's biggest young stars have been involved in sex scandals, racy photos and overall questionable behavior. From Miley Cyrus, to Vanessa Hudgens to Rihanna, it often seems as though role models for young people are sending out signals to grow up very fast. But all hope is not lost for parents and young people looking for more wholesome role models.
Country singer Taylor Swift, who just finished a sold-out run in the New York area, followed by an astounding four-night sell-out at the Los Angeles Staples Center for her Speak Now tour, has had to add more concert dates to her worldwide domination, and last month she collected six Teen Choice Awards, making her the most honored winner in the history of the show.

Time will tell.

"...the entire Internet is buzzing after Taylor and her boyfriend, Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, were snapped leaving the Beverly Hills Wilshire hotel after spending the night together last night."
Lautner was 17 at the time, Swift 19. Scratch one virgin myth for the soon-to-be 22 y/o. A fabrication of the PR machine, just as was done for Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, et. al.
She projects a different PR image than Britney that’s all.
You gotta love this kid.
Things are so upside down in culture and the society at large, that people like Taylor are now actually ‘cutting edge’.Think about at and let a faint ironic smile play over your face at our current state of affairs.
She’s an awful singer.
I like country music a lot but I don’t think I have ever heard Swift. Isn’t she a product of the so-called Nashville production line of marketable female singers?
Gotta admit she’s more discreet than most celebrities. Also likely she’s been in more hotel rooms than the Gideon Bible.
The biggest myth is one of her own making.
She writes it into practically every song;
“I’m the geeky band tard who never got the boys ...”
Bullshit.
She sure is selling sex in her make up commercials.
All I know is that she sang a duet with Stevie Nicks and it’s now legendary how badly she did. And she did.
I think the point is that there is a difference between sexy and slutty.
More to the point of the thread she DID have that "Marilyn Monroe" wardrobe malfunction that was all over the net. Did she REALLY not know that amount of air was coming up from the floor there?
To her credit (If it wasn't planned) she didn't miss a beat and handled the incident very well.
FWIW I got excited about a band I saw on the Marty Stuart show a while back. "The Old Crow Medicine Show"
They have a sound I like, especially on the two songs in that link, "Next Go Round" and "Fire on the Mountain" but it seems they are having problems and have suspended performing for awhile.
Taylor has a lot of potential but I wish she'd try a more traditional country sound.
She’s about as believable as Britney Spears was back when she started when she claimed she was a virgin.
A FReeper turned me on to this link to one of Swift's music videos. Listen to the lyrics and what she is expressing. You never see this any more. Its a wonderful song and a charming video. Just give it a few minutes.
Name of the song is “ The Best Day “.
But in here case AUTO-TUNE is, because the girl cannot sing a single note in key live. Love her albums, but live she is beyond painful to listen to.
Seems like Amy Grant started off like this.
