Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), as Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is along with Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA, and ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee), spearheading the congressional investigation of the "Project Gunwalker" . . . misfortune (don't call it a "scandal"). Not very coincidentally, he is also a target of campaigns to sully his name with supposed ethics violations. From the Sacramento Bee:
The California Republican has used his perch atop the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to expose the Justice Department's Operation Fast and Furious, a gun-tracking investigation that went awry, and to question National Labor Relations Board civil charges against the Boeing Co. in a dispute with the Machinists union.

Ignoring for now the Bee's characterization of the DoJ's monstrous conspiracy as "a gun-tracking investigation that went awry" (that's not what it is), let's look at how the administration is responding to Issa's investigations:

It is good that the MSM is losing power. The mediacracy is ending.
Gunwalker ping.
It COULD, though, be a Stealth issue the way gay marriage was in 2004. It was something rarely discussed before the election, but afterwards it was an issue that had a part in the election. Because it was about government/judicial activism, and people just GOT that, and voted accordingly.
There will be 'stealth issues' we don't see coming, and it wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be one of them.
