Full title: Perry: "I Don't Think You Have a Heart" If You Oppose In-State Tuition for Children of Illegal Immigrants
Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.
"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."

Look deeper into his Gore associations and compare the dates of Gore’s radicalism with Perry’s claims of him turning after Rick went Pubbie.
Perry flat out LIED.
And that road with Gore is quite a tangled one. I tried getting his most vocal supporters to read up on it, but of course, I was a ‘hater’ and so forth. No, I don’t hate him. I ‘understand’ him.
Perry as beyond bad this evening....very depressing.
“It was bad enough when Perry unleashed his La Raza punchline - “just because their last names sound different” crap - TWICE - in the last debate.”

BLITZER: Governor Perry, I’m going to move on to Governor Huntsman in a second, but you did sign legislation giving some illegal immigrants in Texas the opportunity to have in-state tuition at universities in Texas, explain what that...
PERRY: In the state of Texas, if you’ve been in the state of Texas for three years, if you’re working towards your college degree, and if you are working and pursuing citizenship in the state of Texas, you pay in-state tuition there.
And the bottom line is it doesn’t make any difference what the sound of your last name is. That is the American way. No matter how you got into that state, from the standpoint of your parents brought you there or what have you. And that’s what we’ve done in the state of Texas. And I’m proud that we are having those individuals be contributing members of our society rather than telling them, you go be on the government dole.
BLITZER: You heard some boos there. But go ahead, Congresswoman Bachmann, is that basically the DREAM Act that President Obama wants as well?
BACHMANN: Yes, it’s very similar. And I think that the American way is not to give taxpayer subsidized benefits to people who have broken our laws or who are here in the United States illegally. That is not the American way. Because the immigration system in the United States worked very, very well up until the mid-1960s when liberal members of Congress changed the immigration laws.
What works is to have people come into the United States with a little bit of money in their pocket legally with sponsors so that if anything happens to them, they don’t fall back on the taxpayers to take care of them. And then they also have to agree to learn the speak the English language, learn American history and our constitution. That’s the American way.”

Yup and there were still those posting “GREAT ANSWER!!!” every time he choked. Pathetic. He messed up Period...actually he didn’t He just showed the world the real Rick Perry.
I don't care if the vote was unanimous, a man with principles would have vetoed it and said "Here I stand!" If the veto was overridden, so be it. Perry stands convicted by his own words of exactly not "owning up to his actions."
He exposes himself as a weasel, trying to hide behind the legislature to avoid responsibility for his own actions..
This brings to mind an old French saying: "if you're not a socialist at 20, you have no heart. If you're still a socialist at 40, you have no head."
Well, yes, that IS something, I suppose. LOL
"We got into this economic mess because of misplaced government interference in the first place. The mortgage crisis that triggered the collapse of our financial markets was rooted in a well-meaning but wrongheaded desire to increase home ownership among people who could not yet afford to own a home.Politicians on the right AND left wanted to take credit for an increase in middle-class home ownership. But the rules of the marketplace are just as constraining as human nature. Government cannot force financial institutions to give loans to people who can't afford to pay them back and then expect that somehow things will all magically work out. Sooner or later, reality catches up with us. "

Ya takes’em where ya can gets’em ;)
A good rule of thumb, NEVER nominate a candidate that is embarrassed by his/her own political base.
And Romney can't; no matter what the "pundits" claim.
Most of us won't vote for Romney, no matter what! WHY? Because a"President *cough* *gag* *vomit* Romney wouldn't be all that different from Obama.
I suspect people like me who in know way was/is anti-Perry are going to start backing away from him big-time. We just can’t do the open borders thing again after how GWB fractured the republican party over this very issue.
You are absolutely right! Sarah palin 2012 or bust
Just one word on Luntz, his panels are a joke. Tea Party was not represented in that panel, they never are. He is a Rep EST guy, and when he does most of his panels he always openly has more dems than Republicans, he does this on purpose.
Yes tonight he was dealing with all Reps (supposedly) but I believe most if not all of the entire focus group all were for either Perry or Romney coming in.
He asked how many came in supporting Perry and how many came in supporting Romney,it appeared that was everybody.
And for the record LUNTZ is not a fan of Gov Palin. In my opinion he is just a bias pollster like the rest
Two views illustrating what has become of the American people and the leaders they choose:
John Kennedy 1961: “Within a decade We will land a man on the Moon and return him safely to Earth”
Rick Perry 2011: “Build a fence the length of the Texas border?... Really?... Really?”
All I have to say is:
RUN SARAH, RUN AND DO IT NOW !
If Perry is such a louse, why was he elected Governor of Texas?
People say that but she is not playing she will/she won't...just saying she will let you know by the deadline...
