Herman Cain
Cain is the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza and former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He lost the Georgia Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2004. He was recently the host of Atlanta-based radio show.
Newt Gingrich
Gingrich served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. He represented Georgia's 6th congressional district as a Republican member from 1979 to 1999. He has a PhD in modern European history.
Jon Huntsman
Huntsman was Utah Governor, former ambassador to China under Barack Obama.
Ron Paul
Paul is serving his 11th full term in the U.S. House. He’s an ob-gyn and was Libertarian nominee for president in 1988. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president in 2008
Rick Perry
Perry is the three term governor of Texas, from 2000 to current. He is a retired Air Force captain for former farmer. He has a degree in animal science.
Mitt Romney
Romney was governor of Massachusetts (2003 to 2007) and former CEO of Bain Capital, a private equity investment firm. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican 2008 nomination for president. He has an MBA (Harvard) and JD (Harvard Law).
Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Gary Johnson
Johnson served as governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2002. He founded what would become one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico. He has competed in several triathlons and climbed Mount Everest.

I left the R party almost five years ago because of the ‘open border’ stance - and it will KILL me to have to vote for another ‘open border’ POTUS - but I will do it because “O” is SO destructive to our country! (Choose the festering, seeping, bubbling, dripping ‘boil’ over the ‘cancer’.)
Have noticed. Used to think a well-reasoned, intelligent view (opinion) was welcomed (for the most part). But not anymore. Too bad a few have banded together (using a well-orchestrated set of talking points) — to silence opposing views. Just like the MSM. What a joke on me!

2. A right wing third party challenger emerges which rips our party in two, maybe permanently, and the Kenyan gets a second term. Likely followed by two Hillary! terms.

Yup, sadly. Romney is a very slick debater able to weasel his way out of near everything. Perry is Romney's real competition, and so far it is clear Perry is a terrible debater. I think Perry is getting worse each time out.

I have to agree and I really like Herman Cain A LOT... but because of Obama, there is no way in hell another black man can be elected, not at this time and it’s a shame, because Hermain Cain would make a great president.

Damn, I can’t help but love Newt. One smart and intelligent student of history, government and logic.
Cain is the one I’ve been watching closely because I consistently agree with him. After tonight I’ve solidified my opinion of him. I think he would make a good president and that he is a man of high ethics.
