I have lost many of friends with Amway and seen plenty of people go broke and miserable. The amazing thing is most of them were seemingly bright and well educated.
I remember how the Dems (successfully) convinced voters that a local politician was a Nazi because his campaign took money from an organization which was affiliated with another organization which was affiliated with another organization which was borderline neo-Nazi.

NuSkin is really into the natural, organic developement of skin care, no dies and child friendly, not tested on animals [thought the libs liked all that?] etc.

Mormons seem to have a strong attraction to money-making schemes of all different kinds.
Lefties demand that multi-level companies be investigated by the "authorities" and destroyed. The only problem is that if you try to keep people from taking their own risks and spending their own money, you have to take away their liberty to start a business of any kind.
There's an abundance of information available on these companies, both the good and the bad. Caveat emptor is just not that tough. Nu Skin is a long-lived, solid company that's quite ethical. Not that I can imagine myself being in essentially 24-hour retail sales. But there's nothing intrinsically wrong with the business model for those who can.
What Lefties don't like about multi-level companies is that about 85 percent of the distributors are family-oriented, self-starting, free-market conservatives.
I’m sick of people telling me that we should support Mitt because he’s been vetted. That’s BS! There’s a ton of dirt on him that won’t be exposed until he’s the nominee and then we’re screwed.
