Yes, Israel will regain most of the territory given originally by God. Most all of Syria will again be Israel land along with Jordan, much of Saudi Arabia, Gaza and Lebanon. Damascus being the capitol of Syria will be totally destroyed. Keep in mind the nuclear arsenal just a few miles from Damascus and imagine the devestation. The first war will be won by Israel but the war of Ezek is totally God destroying the armies that come against Israel.

Not a super power but much more feared then they are today. We aren’t told why the AC makes the treaty but one can imagine that when God totally annihilates the armies of Gog and Magog in the battle of Ezek 38 the fear from the rest of the world will grow exponentially. Yes the battle of Ezek 38 will occur before the treaty which starts the seven year tribulation.
