On “World Car-Free Day,” Let’s Be Guilt-Free for a Change

On Thursday, September 22, environmentalists want you to feel guilty about driving cars. In other words, it’s annual “World Car-Free Day.”
Instead of celebrating the many ways that the automobile has liberated and improved the lives of ordinary people, environmentalists want to suggest that rejecting the car for a day is somehow virtuous. The governor of Massachusetts is going even further by advocating a car-free week – notwithstanding the governor’s real-world choice to drive around in an SUV this week.

On thursday I may have to fire up all three of
my vehicles, my chain saw, weed eater,leaf blower
and my 40 horse Wisconson.
My only regret is that I don’t have a fire breathing
V-8 of some kind.

Two V-8 Fordn Trucks
A BIG Boat, with dual chevy V-8’s
And a little boat, with a V-8 ...
That’s 6 V-8’s, I guess. I dumped all the chevy’s.

Perfect! I have to drive to my old job for a retirement of a friend, then back home to pick up another friend to then drive 200 miles to south jersey!! What a way to celebrate! That should be in the range of about 280+ miles!
