"There's no question that we must replace Obama in 2012. But the real challenge is who we will replace him with." --Gov. Sarah Palin
September 20, 2011
Dear xxx,
As you may know, Gov. Palin is on the verge of making her decision of whether or not to run for office.
It's one of the most difficult and important decisions of her life. And I want her to know that she has our support.
Gov. Palin is a proven leader. She's a common-sense conservative who fights for the rights of Americans like you and me -- not special interests or big corporations.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama's presidency is a disaster. One in five working-age men are out of work. One in seven Americans are on food stamps. Thirty percent of our mortgages are under water. Parts of Michigan and California are suffering from unemployment numbers that are greater than during the depths of the Great Depression.
Someone must save our nation from this road to European Socialism. Do you think it should be Gov. Palin?
If so, can you send your best, one-time gift to SarahPAC today to help her elect more common-sense conservatives - and show her that we support her if she decides to run?
With time running out, thank you for your swift response!
Yours truly,
Tim Crawford
Treasurer, SarahPAC
This isn't vetting. This is throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks. And you know that.
You know something DJ, I’m almost at the point that I no longer want Palin to be President in order to help fix the mess that we’re in. I want her to be President just so the PDS brigade will have to live with themselves in misery for 4-8 years ;)
Yeah. I’m getting there too. I’m tired of hearing the MSM parroted on FR.
Sorry, Sarah PAC. I’m a Rick Perry convert.
Just tell me:
Where the money goes, if I donate before she announces she’s in. Where it goes, if after I donate she announces she’s out?
SarahPac money that is donated to other conservative candidates for their campaigns. Palin cannot use it.
Reading my comments now?? That is playing dirty! LOL
Your arch-enemies the Perry-dactyls are not pleased with me either .. It is so lonely sometimes being behind blue eyes...but...
I love this thread..."Donate to Sarah-PAC so she runs for POTUS", you cant beat that one.
Not me!! I’m enjoying the show!. LOL
Never said I believed it and I don’t.
SOL, have you so soon forgotten our battles in the not so distant past? I am hurt! You have forgotten me already...sniff....
They aren’t my ‘Arch Enemies” either. Much as I may think Perry is less conservative than he claims to be and much as I think he has plenty to explain, I hold no ill will toward the vast majority of his supporters who, if/when it comes down to it once the hoopla settles, I hope will join me in voting for Palin. Just the ones, like you, who stir the brown stuff for the sake of doing it tend to rouse my ire.
I have even defended Perry on a couple occasions, once just the other day. ;)
The PAC is looking to get a sense thru the responses to this solicitation, what the level of financial support would be. That has to be a factor in her calculus.
Does this mean you were kidding about defending me?
RE: ” ...like you who stir the brown stuff for the sake of doing it tend to rouse my ire”.
Well, I hope I am doing a good job at that. Mom always told me to try to do agood job.
I heard some Perry-bots whispering that all you Palinistas have tails you hide on your pants, and forked tongues too, and they were laughing too../ with evil grins... getting mad yet??
I don’t ‘get’ why Sarah Palin would be “finished with conservatives” if she announces she is NOT running. Several of the decidedly pro-Palin folks on this board have said that, and I just don’t ‘get’ it.
She’s 47 years old and still has three kids living at home and dependent on her as a mom. The youngest, now 3 years old has very special needs. Why can’t she wait 4 or 8 years, or 12 for that matter? If she sees a viable GOP candidate, for her own reasons she may well decide not to run. I don’t know why anyone would think less of her for coming to that decision.
Most of us think that our country doesn't have that long. It's a call of duty kinda thing.
No, I just feel bad that you feel the need to make yourself out to be an ass in a public forum. But that’s your choice. I have far more respect for someone who honestly disagrees with me than someone whose basically an attention whore and proves it daily with posts like yours. You just revel in your stupidity.
Not that you care, just thought I’d put that out there for future reference.
Well making you feel bad is the LAST thing I would EVER want to do.
You give all your money to Sarah-PAC yet? , including your home equity?? Something like that could make a BIG difference.
We haven’t had an “Indispensable (Wo)man” since George Washington. That’s just too much burden to put on one man or woman, to claim that that person, and only that person, can change the direction of this country. There are lots of ways to serve, one doesn’t have to be POTUS. How often does she have to say “you don’t have to hold office to serve?” You don’t. I don’t. Gov. Palin doesn’t.
So are y’all saying that if she chooses not to run, not to answer what some see as her ‘call to duty,’ she’s a coward, a traitor, what? One “PalinFRista” told me recently that if she doesn’t run she’ll be a “pariah.” I just don’t get it.
Your comments speak for themselves.
Certainly not a pariah. More like a wasted opportunity. America needs her. I believe she knows this. Whether or not her calling is to run for POTUS or to support specific candidates is her call. But again, IMHO, she would do the most benefit running. Then again, who am I, just a guy on the sidelines, taking care of my family, talkin' on a message board...
There’s certainly been more fire than light shed on these debates lately, that’s for sure. I would hope that if she decides against running, those who love her now will continue those strong feelings.
My sense is that she could have had it in a walk had she decided to go for it several months ago. Now it’s more complicated and I DO think she feels an obligation to her children, especially Trig.
Imagine life in the White House. I can’t think of a much worse situation for her and her family, to be honest about it. It’s a virtual prison. When I watch her in interviews from Wasilla, I can’t imagine why on earth she’d want to leave there, much less for DC. (well, except from December thru March but now she’s got a home in AZ).
