MONROE, Mich. A blast that turned a vehicle along a Michigan street into a blackened shell and seriously injured an attorney and his two sons was the result of a car bomb, police said Wednesday.
Emergency responders rushed to the site of the Tuesday evening explosion near a highway underpass in Monroe, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit, the Monroe Police Department said. The vehicle's three occupants were taken to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, about 20 miles south of Monroe. They were listed in serious condition Wednesday.
The blast came from a car bomb, Donald Dawkins, a spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, confirmed Wednesday. Investigators were poring over the charred wreckage for clues.

Or was it a load of fireworks in the trunk? That seems more likely seeing that the three in the car are alive.
In which Michigan kicked Ohio's a$$ and mercilessly forced them to take Toledo.

DEVELOPING: Ohio Business Owner Shot For Being Non-Union, Police Investigating [Aug 16, 2011]
At first, King thought that his assailant was merely trying to break into his vehicle. Little did he know, however, that the perpetrator was targeting himbecause of his non-union company.
The night of the shooting, police recovered a shell casing from a small caliber handgun. In addition to the shell casing, police also found a Swiss Army knife that police say was likely going to be used to slice the tires on Kings SUV.
While neither the police, nor Mr. King can say which union was behind the attack, it is very clear by the word scab scrawled on his SUV that it the attack was union-related.
The police have been very thorough, King says. I cannot praise the Monroe County Sheriffs department enough.
The Monroe County Sheriffs office is encouraging anyone with information to call 734-240-7530.
In addition, Mr. King is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Nope. News to me.
Actually Michigan has the 6th largest Muslim population (1.8% total) in America. California is first (3.4%) Incidentaly, Texas makes the top 10 in 8th place (.07% of the total population).
We do have a large Arab christian population but Dearborn has the highest “concentration” of Muslims.
Either that or this was a random fuel tank explosion which will certainly be exploited by NBC........
That is just horrible.
I hope they catch the subhuman who did this.
The first thing that came to my mind was union thugs.
Always go with your first instinct.
Just a signal from “Big Eddie” that if you owe him money, it’s better for your health to pay him, rather say “if you don’t like it, sue me”.
That was a grape battle too be sure.
The Raisin river is named after the wild grape vines that overrun this whole corner of Michigan. Its a constant battle cutting them back here in the yard. I’d hate to try to move any distance through them with military equipment.
I was sort of hoping it was a premature Jihadification. I love it when that happens. As long as they don't take anyone else with them that is.

How evil! Prayers up for the attorney and his children. I hope they find the perp quickly but this investigation is going to cut into ATF’s cartel gun running action. I hope Holder can handle the delay.
