Romney Closes in on Perry
http://www.dickmorris.com/blog/romney-closes-in-on-perry/ ^ | Sept. 19, 2011 | Dick Morris

After his bludgeoning in the Monday, September 12 GOP Debate, Texas Governor Rick Perry has lost more than half his lead over Mitt Romney in the polls. Perry's position as front runner makes him vulnerable by ganging up by the other contenders and his missteps on Social Security, immigration and the Papalloma virus have made him even more so. After Thursday's FOX News presidential debate, he and Romney should be about even - with Romney on the way up and Perry on the way down.

Yeah, I voted for McCain in the election. I only did it because Palin was on the ticket, else I would have written-in Alan Keyes.

I’m just so tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

It’s a choice between going to destruction on an express train and going in a hand car. The destination is the same, the only difference is the speed.

Maybe it’s ok to let things speed up. It’s better than being slowly boiled alive. Maybe it will wake people up. Maybe it will catalyze a new Revolution.

We need something other than yet another RINO.

No to Romney. Simple as that.

I’m not exactly a Perry fan either but he’s light years better than Myth.

It is looking to me like Morris is on the Romney payroll. He is in spin overdrive for the guy the past ten days. His analysis of Perry is cherrypicking and disinformation. I have not doubt the race is tightening, but that doesn’t excuse the spinning and half truths.

Too bad. I’d love to see Morris’s unbiased analysis of this primary.

Cain has some Right Stuff. What bothers me is wondering when the last time we had a President that never previously held any public office?

Regardless of his qualities, “no experience” is going to remind too many of nobama and lots of voters won’t be willing to go that far out on the limb again.

Eisenhower, 1950's. Former General of the Allied forces in WWII. A great American.

“How do you ZOOM BACK up in the polls when you’re leading by 30%?”

Excuse me. I thought the article said: “Texas Governor Rick Perry has lost more than half his lead over Mitt Romney in the polls.”

Difference is, Cain DOES have experience.

Cain knows what it’s like to work a real job. He knows what it’s like to get up in the morning, drive through traffic or take the subway, and report to a boss. He knows what it’s like to draw a paycheck and try to make it stretch to the next one.

He knows what it’s like to work your way up. He had the smarts, tenacity, and intestinal fortitude to work his way up to CEO. He took a flaccid company and turned it into a performer. He made his own fortune.

On the other hand, 0bamao, like every Marxist bum, never had a real job and has been living on other people’s money all his life.

He has ZERO achievements.

ZERO.

Even his bloody school transcripts are sealed, so we won’t know what an underachieving dullard he really is.

Whatever you think of Morris personally doesn’t matter. The fact is he’s a genius of a pollster and can forecast public reactions to political events. Ask Bill Clinton.

Thank you. There are a lot of Ross Perot voters who may have regrets and we could have entirely avoided all this Obamacare if only those 3,000 “third party” voters in MN had voted for Coleman instead of the “third party” candidate. They need to be ashamed. Coleman is much, much superior to Franken.

I wish Cain would be the nominee, but it does look doubtful. I do hope whoever the Republican nominee is, if he or she does become President, that person will retain Mr. Cain as an advisor of some sort. An economic advisor preferably.

Perry said in his book that SS was unconstitutional. If you don’t think such statements won’t be exploited by the Dems in the election I don’t know what universe you’re in. Morris isn’t the issue but he’s a genius of a pollster and, as Bill Clinton will tell you, he’s great at forecasting public reactions to all political issues.

I have really bad news for you. This is NOT Heaven and you are never going to be able to vote for someone perfect--not gonna happen. If that's what you're looking for, you're going to have to die first.

On this earth, you are ALWAYS going to have to vote for the best choice you can make. Now, make the choice, do you want Romney or do you want Perry?

Well, yeah, sorta -- but he did "hold office" in the U. S. government. That's why he was called an Army OFFICER.

So to find a POTUS who never held any kind of public office, we gotta go all the way back to Woodrow Wilson -- truly one of the worst men ever to wear the Presidential mantle.

Makes me retch just to think about it.

I’ll take the express train, thank you.

Like I said, maybe people will wake up.

Much as I like Cain, he ain’t no IKE. Being the Supreme Commander of hlaf the world is a LOT of experience.

He sure as hell ain’t no wilson, than God. Nobama is wilson.

See my point? Too big a hill.

Sorry, none of that, even though its all well and good, is the experience needed to run the USA.

People are waking up and don't create unrealistic expectations. Unless things change, the choices are between Perry and Romney. I prefer Perry and I have no desire to try to attack Romney to get the nomination for Perry.

It is possible Romney could become the nominee and I have no desire to wound him.

The only experience Cain has not had is compromising with Congress and selling the country out to foreign interests.

I’ll take Cain over a RINO or the underachieving dullard in the White House any day.

Best wishes to you.

But I’ll be going with a write-in or 3rf party.

Can’t vote for RINOs anymore.

Please no Romney. If he is.the Republican candidate, I might as well vote for Obama.

I don't like Romney either but I'd vote for Bill Clinton before I would another four years of Obama.
