President Obama is scheduled to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday, according to a White House briefing.
Abbas recently announced he will ask the U.N. Security Council on Friday to back his statehood bid.
The United States has vowed to veto any resolution in the Security Council granting statehood status to the Palestinians.

I may have misheard this, but I thought I heard Glenn Beck say today that the first call 0bama made upon gaining access to the White House was to Abbas. If true, is that strange or what?
