More Texans disapprove of Rick Perrys performance as governor than approve of his work for them, a new poll finds. Forty-five percent of Texas voters have a positive view of Perrys job performance while 48 percent disapprove, according to the latest poll of Texas voters released by Public Policy Polling today: .
The good news for Perry: The Republican presidential contender has finally moved ahead of President Obama in the Lone Star State, 51 percent to 44 percent, after trailing the Democratic incumbent a month ago.

ya....that’s how he got to be Guv....by being behind in polls that count for anything....sheesh!
PPP is a Dem pollster. They don’t poll. They make it all up.
Bilge water from the liberal Houston Chronicle. Perry was always ahead of OSodomitula from day 1 of his presidency in Texas.
Yes most Texans disapprove of his performance as governor. And he has been elected/reelected how many times?
Pardon me if I find this poll difficult to take seriously.
Just poll Austin and Houston and well, now you’ve got a
REAL poll right Texas?
Kind of like polling Palm Beach County and Dade/Broward in Florida riiiiight?
Baloney. Only 51-44 over Obamao. Only in the dreams of his father.
Yeah, for sure. Besides, outsiders (non-Texans) don't realize that in Texas the governor doesn't really have much power. Real power in Texas resides with the Lt. Governor and the Railroad Commission.

Yes, another BS poll...and of course, we’d except this he is the front runner...elite GOP want their man Mittens...so we’ll see much more of these type of polls. I could get on the phone and call a whole lot of Texans and find just the opposite results. I could go to a shopping mall and find the opposite results than this poll.
That headline is a Dem wet dream...but unfortunately for them, half of the disapprovers view him as not conservative ENOUGH.
The other half are big-city libs.
And that’s even assuming the poll is even remotely accurate.
Well, PPP is the outfit showing Perry “dominating” the race in the past few weeks:

The poll results were printed in a liberal paper so they can't be believed. Only polls showing Perry doing well are accurate. Perry isn't really pro-illegal immigration. The images of him addressing LaRaza and signing the ACORN bill were photoshopped. “Crony capitalism” and corruption are actually virtues. Etc., etc., etc.
Yep, more Texans disapprove of Perry than approve. That’s how he got elected governor. I can smell liberal fear in the air, and it stinks like dying obuma.
It’s time to start up conservative polling outfits, and publish polls that show obuma losing California and New York by 10 points.
Two thoughts:
1. He’s got company in this regard in the name of our POTUS.
2. Then Sarah Palin, with her 80% governor approval needs to get moving.
Do you think Obama would win Texas?
“Yes most Texans disapprove of his performance as governor. And he has been elected/reelected how many times?”
Does the name George W. Bush ring a bell? Texas is starting to face some problems. Unemployment is starting to rise and the state faces a $10 billion shortfall in 2012 (surpassed by only California, Illinois and New Jersey).

I bet you’d find a heck of a lot more people disapproved of Romney’s miserable performance as governor of MA.
Government boondoggle construction projects, mandatory “Romneycare,” huge tax increases...Why not ask some questions there?
“Do you think Obama would win Texas?”
No. Palin will.
