Sarah and Todd Palin “scare” and “threaten” people - that’s the “Palin way,” author Joe McGinniss charged on Tuesday.
In an interview on CNN for the release of his new book, “The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin,” McGinniss said he spoke to “a couple of hundred people” for biography, including at least 70 who are cited by name.
As for the extensive use of anonymous sources, McGinniss said the Palins’ scare tactics are to blame.
“The Palins scare people. The Palins intimidate, they threaten. People in Wasilla are very scared of the Palins, and this goes back to her time as mayor,” the author said. “They fear retribution. There are people who wouldn’t even meet me socially because if Sarah found out, anything could happen.”
McGinniss irritated the Palins by renting a house next door to theirs n Wasilla, Ala., when he was researching the book.
The author recalled an incident in which Todd Palin came over to him on the porch shortly after he moved in to say, “Let’s just see how long you stay here.”
“He greeted me with a threat. That’s the Palin way – threatening,” McGinniss said on CNN.

Palin must have her way about everything and wants her way immediately. Remember last week when she was nearly hollering about wanting her bill passed and passed immediately and if we loved her we’d pass it now and read it later. Pass, pass, pass. Pass it now. Okay, maybe Sarah does threaten people with the truth. Obama, on the other hand, threatens people with lies (i.e. the Republicans want to take away Social Security from seniors).
