"President Obama’s smooth path to the Democratic nomination may have gotten rockier Monday, after a group of liberal leaders, including former presidential candidate Ralph Nader, announced plans to challenge the incumbent in primaries next year.
The group said the goal is to offer up a handful of candidates from various fields and areas where the president either has failed to stake out a “progressive” position or where he has “drifted toward the corporatist right.”

Nader (or whoever it turns out to be) is doing Obama a great favor, by allowing him to seem centrist and reasonable, rather than the fist-in-the-air Marxist he really is.

I persuaded a liberal women to vote for Nader in 2000. Otherwise she would have voted for Algore.

I’m sure the DUMS want Obama OUT of the White House and OUT of the Democratic Party and preferably OUT of the country to boot. He’s inadvertantly taken a wrecking ball against the Democratic Party and thoroughly discredited it to the point where no one will want (with the exception of entertainers) to be associated with them. Obama has alienated everyone that used ot be a valuable ally and he has perversely sparked a revival of patriotism in this country that is at long last grassroots and not entirely reliant on a specific leadership to do all the work.
