"President Obamas smooth path to the Democratic nomination may have gotten rockier Monday, after a group of liberal leaders, including former presidential candidate Ralph Nader, announced plans to challenge the incumbent in primaries next year.
The group said the goal is to offer up a handful of candidates from various fields and areas where the president either has failed to stake out a progressive position or where he has drifted toward the corporatist right.

Ohhhh It's time for the Primary Kiss of Death cheer. No sitting president has been re-elected after facing a primary challenge in modern times.
I never thought I would be able to say this since the seat belt thing... but THANK YOU RALPH NADER!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess ole Ralph is a racist now

Ralph saved us in 2000, he can save us again in 2012. Although I would rather that he ran as an independent or Green party candidate in the general election rather than in the Democrat primary.

I'm not seeing any opponents. Hillary won't campaign, she only accepts coronations.

IMHO I see a 4 or 5 people race....
Rue Paul goes Indy and will split the anti-war/pro-legal drug use college kid vote w/ Nader who will go green. That leaves Obummer and Perry or Palin for four. If Romney gets it I could see Sarah doing an Indy-Conservative bid for 5.

“...Ohhhh It’s time for the Primary Kiss of Death cheer...”
Let’s save the cheering for when he has his ass unceremoniously handed to him and he is dumped onto the street OUTSIDE the White House, suddenly unemployed, in 2012.
In the meantime, we work, we toil, we labor, and we ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE to make the above scenario a humiliating reality for him and his party.
Then we can cheer...and have a massive party.
Just sayin.....
