Well I certainly don’t think that government people, and the government medical people, policy people, give two craps about any one individuals’ health except their own.
I do think individual doctors care about their patients, but they are trained a certain way, they are taught standard protocols and treatment methods and common ways of doing things for patients and common methods of handling questions and objections to those standard protocols. I’ve generally never heard one doctor ever talk someone out of a vaccine.

Did they initiate this program due to a bribe or contribution from Merck?
Dude, hate to break it to you, but this story is from India. And politicians in India are famous for corruption on an absolutely humungous, fantabulous scale. Rick Perry could have mandated girls in Texas receive the entire Merck product catalog and his corruption would not even come up to the bootstraps of the CLEANEST politician in India. Merck and Indian politicians are a match just made for each other. Am I saying they paid for access? You betcha!

Let's try again.
The 2006 population of women in the US per the census was 151,795,031.
Number of cervical cancer cases diagnosed in 2005 per the CDC was 11,999.
Therefore, 00.07904% of women were diagnosed with cervical cancer that year.
The number of deaths by cervical cancer in 2005 were 3,924.
Gardasil does not protect against cervical cancer.
It might protect for some short time against some HPV.
It has side effects, some serious.
The Gardasil death rate is .0125% .
PEOPLE SHOULD CHOOSE WISELY.
NO MORE RINOs. NO MORE PerryCARE.

Doctors seem to practice CYA medicine and/or as the below article states, they simply don’t bother to question what they learn in medical school.
Here’s an interesting article:
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/12/29/vaccination-schedule-part-one.aspx
And an excerpt from it:
What is less known, and doctors are not taught, is that the death rate for measles declined 97.7 percent during the first 60 years of the 20th century. The mortality rate was 133 deaths per million people in the U.S. in 1900, and had dropped to 0.3 deaths per million by 1960. Measles caused less than 100 deaths a year in the U.S. before there was a vaccine for this disease (in 1963).

OPT-IN policy is free market. OPT-OUT is Big Brother Statism.
The way I see this, Mr. Perry must clearly renounce opt-outs and other such instances of Daddy-Statism, or Big-Corporate-Daddy-Statism.
I see Perry aligned like a Christie, a Bloomberg is this matter. Or like any police chief or officer telling citizens to let professionals handle all instances of crime and possible crime. Makes men weak. The big daddy state operating in a nation where Dads are missing in the lives 40% of new born citizens is NOT a good thing.
We have to FORCE men to be real Dads, and force women to seek to gain them.
This so-called trivial battle over a Perry's HPV EO, is actually a much bigger issue.

This article was published 7/5/10, and is posted on FR today.
If I did not know better, I might think someone was trying to smear Gov. Rick Perry.
After-all the article was from India, and I don't think he is running for President of India..................

Complications amount to .375%. .0125% have died. 4 out of 32,000. None have been directly shown to be caused by the drug. Correlation is not causation.
Close to half a million women die every year from cervical cancer. Gardasil protects against the most common HPV causes for Cervical Cancer.
Gardasil Perry signed his edict in 2007.
How about we examine the FACTS from 2006?
2006 population of women per the census was 151,795,031.
Number of cervical cancer cases
diagnosed in 2005 per the CDC was 11,999.
That means that 00.07904% of women
were diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Number of deaths by cervical cancer in 2005 were 3,924.(Not helf a million)
Percentage of deaths were .0125%.
Hmmmmmmmmm
Death rate for vaccination = .01250%
Death rate for disease in U.S. = .00258%

There are close to half a million deaths from Cervical Cancer World wide every year. The death rate in the U.S. is more than 1/3. It is damn near a death sentence. The survival rate for five years is only 2/3. That is not good. Even with the best medical care in the World. The World wide death rate is considerably higher. The death rate is exactly as stated. If you die from it in five years and one day you are not considered to have died from it for statistical purposes.
Merck distributes the drug World wide.

We can go round and round on this issue and not convince each other.
I advise you to not get this vaccine or any other vaccines for yourself or your children. I am sure that they will be fine. After all it is the toxicity and unproved side effects of the vaccines that are dangerous, not polio, small pox, tetanus, diphtheria, HPV or any other diseases that ravaged society and killed millions just several decades ago.
Good luck!

Yet you post, in defense of Perry's Texas mandate, as if your stats are for the US, in particular Texas!
Number of deaths by cervical cancer in 2005 in the U.S.were 3,924.(Not half a million)!

The “Death Rate for Vaccination” statistic should be re-named “The Death Rate for Any Death which comes after a Vaccination”.
