The survival rate for five years is only 2/3. That is not good. Even with the best medical care in the World. The World wide death rate is considerably higher. The death rate is exactly as stated. If you die from it in five years and one day you are not considered to have died from it for statistical purposes.

Number of deaths by cervical cancer in 2005 in the U.S.were 3,924.(Not half a million)!
