Only about 300 protesters, mostly college kids and aging hippies, showed up near the Stock Exchange for yesterdays anti-Wall Street rally -- far fewer than the 20,000 that organizers of the so-called global Day of Rage had predicted.

If they hired a damn developer or two, they’d actually have a functioning website!!!
Dude. Duuuuuuuuuuuude! We gotta come back on Monday. They're like, closed on the weekend.
From Pajamas Media:
>>The Los Angeles Day of Rage crew made the peculiar decision to hold their event in the citys Olvera Street, the touristy Mexican-themed pedestrian marketplace near the site of the original Spanish settlement. Despite all the promotional hoopla, a completely humiliating 20 people showed up. But none of the organizers bothered to find out in advance that September 17 was Fiestas Patrias on Olvera Street, the largest Mexican Independence Day celebration in the State of California at the birthplace of Los Angeles; Placita Olvera. 200,000 attendees expected. Oooooooooops!
>>As a result, the tiny protest was completely overwhelmed by the non-political festival-goers. And, irony of ironies, the fiesta was packed with corporate sponsors, who set up glitzy and well-attended promotional tents all along Olvera Street. So much for the anti-corporate message!
On the bright side, it is about double the number that watched Algore’s Warm-a-thon Special
On an NFL Sunday?! A day when school's out?!
Call the rally for a workday. Be sure it's on a schoolday.
You will attract thousands.
Hippy with a cane?
Day of Age!
Kind of what I expected. Our underclass is too effing lazy to put on a good riot. Even so the MSM had tripled reports of the attendance to around a thousand.
More like a few minutes of faint annoyance.
Get back to us when you can gin up some REAL numbers, hippies.
Since Obama took office we have ALL had many Days of Ragu
(or, more accurately, it’s off-brand competition from Aldi)
Jewish hippie?
Star of David in the center of his chest.
Yeah, that left me scratching my head.
Galactic fail? Maybe too much, try Heaven's Gate fail.
"Short Afternoon of Mild Irritation" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
There was a pretty funny exchange of comments at the link (slightly edited to eliminate all the posting DTGs)
4. RKae: Dont you get it, man?! They want anarchy AND bureaucracy! Its so simple!
Reply: Buzzsawmonkey: If they want anarchy and bureaucracy, why protest? Obamacare is still on the books.
Reply: RKae: Well, then, they must be racists straight up!
Reply: SG-1:
Who here is for ANARCHRACY?!
Speak up silently now!
The days of organized disorganization are upon us!
Together we must divide! And Conquer!
Alone we are together!
So come with me and be separate!
Do it NOW, tomorrow!
Reply: DilloTank: Thank you Dennis Hopper.
College kids doing what they do best. Goofing off.
Public Radio had a segment on this event, and from their reporting I figured it was a HUGE deal. I guess, um, NPR has an agenda ...
Wow! If I looked like that guy, I’d be full of rage too.
Three hundred protesters??!! Why, that barely rates being called a Day of Ticked-Off.
