The judge says she will be sentenced to three years' probation and 350 hours of community service -- the same amount of time prosecutors say police spent looking into her false claims, reports CBS station WCBS.

I don't think they are the same. The opportunity cost of police's time spent on her lie might be solving real criminal case or preventing real rapes from happening. Meanwhile, opportunity cost of this person's time in community service is someone might get wet from not bringing an umbrella. The judge needs to take Econ 101.

She should serve the time of the man she accused, should he have been convicted.

But that's never the case, and we're supposed to be good sports about getting falsely accused, having lives ruined and getting a bill from her lawyer.

She'll get time served (none) and a slap on the wrist.
