Unhappy members of the Congressional Black Caucus probably would be marching on the White House if Obama were not president, according to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.).
"If [former President] Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House," Cleaver told The Miami Herald in comments published Sunday. "There is a less-volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president."
CBC members have expressed concern in recent months as the unemployment rate has continued to rise amongst African-Americans, pushing for Obama to do more to address the needs of vulnerable communities.
"Were supportive of the president, but we getting tired, yall, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said in August. We want to give [Obama] every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We dont know what the strategy is."
Rather than targeting Obamas leadership, many CBC members aimed their fire at the Tea Party movement over the summers congressional recess. Waters said in a public meeting in her district that the Tea Party "can go straight to hell." Another member, Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), called the Tea Party the real enemy seeking to hold Congress hostage.

Right! He already is.
First, he is not descendant of the slaves. The father came to the US only to spill his seeds on some leftist woman for the 'poor minorities' out of guilt.
Second, 0bama was raised by a white grandma in Hawaii, where he went to Punahou--one of the most prestigious private schools in Hawaii (and the US too, I must say). Then to Columbia and Harvard.
Third, until he met Michelle, I don't think he even considered himself a Christian or went to church voluntarily (Punahou is somewhat Christian school, so he probably went to some semi-compulsary services there). But he didn't grow up in Baptist black church like most American Blacks did.
So, 0bama has never shared their experiences. They only share some pigmentation. And some ideology. At the end, however, it's about himself being a messiah. But, for some Blacks, it's enough to worship him to the point of not ever saying anything bad about him.
Grammar alert ... Headline should read “If Obama weren’t President” ...

They don’t know what his strategy is? How about wreck the economy so badly that your welfare benefits go unpaid, you riot, working people fight back and the benevolent government steps in with Draconian “new” [read marxist] rules to pick up where that shabby old Constitution failed.Got it?
The very reason Obama can ignore them is this kind of thinking. If you tell the guy he can do what ever he wants and you won’t march on him since he is a bro, you are giving him free reign.
A slight exaggeration but he could reinstate slavery and these hopeless fools wouldn’t do a thing.
That makes you a "fully qualified Uncle Tom", yes? Admit it. It doesn't feel very good to be a racist bitch, does it?
Yep. It has nothing to do with him being Black. It’s because he’s a DemocRAT. I had the discussion with my Brother in ‘08 about voting for Obama because he was black. He insists that he voted for him for that reason. I then asked him if he would have voted for Condolesa Rice. NO. Colin Powell. NO. “Well,” I said to him, “You didn’t vote for Obama because he’s black. You voted for him because he’s a DemocRAT.” He had to admit it because that was the truth of the matter. And it’s the truth in this Cleaver guy’s case too. They wouldn’t have done any such marching against Clintoon. Afterall, he was considered by the Black Caucus to be the “first black president.”
To answer your question...yes there would be a march against a Black Republican. But the question is moot because if there were a Republican of any color in office, these bad times wouldn’t be happening. George Bush inherited a recession too. He wasn’t the most conservative choice, but at least his policies made it better, not worse like Zero-Bama’s have. Deeper tax cuts and drastic reductions in regulations would have had the same effect on this recession too.
Someone should repost that photo of the BO limo passing some impoverished old black guy in the street DOWN ON HIS KNEES supplicating* BO for a glimmer of recognition and a handout.
*He was entreating BO as if he were a slave or a serf seeking favors from a king. He was not holding himself with dignity, as a free man, as an American. It was a very sad sight to see.
A LOT of people owe an apology to “Dubya”! All those clowns who said back in 2008 that we couldn’t do any worse should be banging their heads against a wall about now.
