Perry has only been in the race 4 wks.

He encouraged legislation to lower property taxes.
He helped stop the creation of a state income tax.
He recruited tons of companies into Texas from other states.
He created an atmosphere here in Texas that created more jobs than any other state.
He refused to sign any legislation increasing state sales tax.
He encouraged Voter ID which passed (Feds are suing)
He demanded fiscal responsibility from school districts.
He defended boy scouts when ACLU went after them.
Nobody is stronger on the 2nd and 10th Amendments.
He put the Sanctuary City bill back on the table but TX Legislature didn’t have the guts to pass it.
He eliminated property taxes for veterans w/100% disability.
He calls the families of all Texas soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gives them his personal cell number.
He took Marcus Luttrell into his personal home to make sure he got help for his broken body after losing his entire SEAL team.
He has allowed other veterans to live with him and Anita so they could monitor the help they needed.
He strives for the premise not to spend all the money.
He and Tx AG Abbot sued the EPA.
He and Tx AG Abbot sued over Obamacare.
He oversaw reform to laws in Texas regarding tort reform.
He strives for less regulation.

He has been governor in Texas and presided over more job creation than any other state - even more than all other states combined during one of the worst recessions in the USA and fighting with undue Obama/EPA etc... regulations.

How is your state doing?

He’s a mans man. He is exciting and fun.

He’s got friends like Chuck Norris, Nugent and ZZ Top!
He is really interesting if you try to get to know things about him - really interesting.

He cares about Texans. He cares about Americans.
He loves his Country, is Patriotic as all get out and has served his country in the Air Force (piloted C130’s)

He will be a President for the people.

He is a Leader!

He will get our bloated government back to where it should be and he will reverse all of the current Admin stupid policies.

He will be one of the strongest defenders of this country people have ever seen.

Our soldiers will leap with joy to be under this Commander in Chief.

He WILL secure the border with boots on the ground and with upscale equipment without causing a problem with our bordering trading relationship with Mexico.

Will Perry Make It? For all of our sakes - I Hope So!

"He has been governor in Texas and presided over more
job creation than any other state"

The question I've asked about that - and so far have
received no answer on - is "What percent of the alleged
jobs are held by illegals?".

But I suspect the country is lost if Perry gets in because it will be crony capitalism continued.

Why? The POTUS is not a dictator, though the current turkey is trying his darndest to be one.

A President's dumb ideas can be rejected by Congress (as with the McRino-Kennedy - Bush shamnesty), by a sane SCOTUS, and above all, direct participation by educated people (as in the town halls following the Obamacare disaster).

It’s all in his record: Just doesn’t get the AZ law and favors public tax subsidies for illegal higher education. I won’t even mention the compulsory vacine debacle (with an opt-out but not a much more desirable opt-in) and his Merck lobbyist chief of staff. Obama and the libs are already making campaign sound-bite ads and praying for his victory in the primaries.

It’s very early in the season and you havn’t even seen the voters’ preferances. At the rate Perry’s record is being exposed to the public he may not even be a serious contender in a couple months.

I don’t trust Morris for a number of reasons. He’s a Clinton guy afterall who helped the Clintons. I will never forget that. I recall him saying Sarah Palin was the one to watch because she was a strong candidate who had an earned record of leadership. After that, his next TV appearance he was bashing Palin along with adding up his new strong candidate, which was the same as Ann Coulter’s; Romney.

I disagree with some of these points. Perry cannot secure the border now-how will he do at the federal level. Kinda worrisome. He allows free access and money for illegals for a college education. That is insane. Pretty soon, there will be so many dem voters, we can hang it up, if we continue to give away our nation. That is not a Tea Party way and not a conservative conviction. I sure don’t feel up to watering down my convictions. I pray I don’t have to come election day so it’s inportant to get a good candidate while still early.

Will Perry make it?

I doubt it, personally. YMMV.

No, but if Perry is just a Bush clone, I will be out of the US.

You sound like a real patriot. /s

You seem just fine living here with Obama, but if Perry is elected your loyalty to your country comes to an end. Who do you think you are? Alec Baldwin?

Why don't you do yourself and all the rest of us a favor and just leave now.

Ya gotta be a real freakin’ moron to think Perry is Bush 2 or McCain 2.

It’s like Foxworthy saying,”Here’s yer sign”.

(you) Perry cannot secure the border now-how will he do at the federal level. Kinda worrisome.

It is not his job to secure the border.
It is the Federal Government’s job to do that.

It would take millions possibly billions and why should Texans pay for the security of the entire nation?
We are already paying millions of tax dollars to secure best we can with Texas Guard and Texas Rangers on behalf of all the other non-border states.

On a Federal Level, as President, he would put National Guard on the border.
“Boots On The Ground” And he would use drones and other sophisticated equipment. But the costs would fall on a Federal Level and be paid for by all Americans.

(you) He allows free access and money for illegals for a college education. That is insane.

Not He but the Texas Legislature. Not illegals but kids of illegals who have been in Texas for over 3 years and have graduated from High School (which the Federal Government requires we Texans educate through 12th grade)
The kids committed no crime.

The Texas Legislature put that bill into place with a 142-1 in favor vote in House and 27-3 in favor vote in the Senate.
Perry could not have stopped that - even if he wanted to - he cannot veto a majority vote like that.
They have to pay for their tuition - it is only reduced to In State rates and there are no benefits or perks.
You are talking about approx 12K kids.

(you) That is not a Tea Party way and not a conservative conviction. I sure don’t feel up to watering down my convictions. I pray I don’t have to come election day so it’s inportant to get a good candidate while still early.

Like I said, Perry did not vote this bill in - Our legislature did with a 169-4 majority.

Pray for good candidate.
I will pray that Perry wins the Presidency because he will be a good one.

And don’t forget to pray for those kids who are trying to get a good education that you would prefer to deny.

“What percent of the alleged
jobs are held by illegals?”.

None. Illegals are obviously not reported as a hire because it is illegal to hire them.

There may be legal immigration workers reported because they have green cards are hired legally.
But keep in mind that they pay taxes and they pay social security which they do not get back.

“No, but if Perry is just a Bush clone, I will be out of the US. “
[You sound like a real patriot. /s]

IFF Perry turns out to be a Bush clone, never fighting back, well then I think the country is lost and headed to civil war because we will be in a state of economic collapse. The rules of survival kick in at that point. If you want to go down with a hyperinflationary Weimar republic, well that is up to you and I doubt you will feel all that patriotic taking it in the shorts.

[You seem just fine living here with Obama,]

That is an abject falsehood, I have fought at every level I can against Obama and will continue to do so. But why not throw out a lie if you have nothing better to say.

[but if Perry is elected your loyalty to your country comes to an end. Who do you think you are? Alec Baldwin?]

My rule is God, family, country, in that order. Loyalty to country does not end, but it is certainly not number one.

I certainly won’t be the first or last to flee here on a financial basis, investors like Peter Schiff have long advised people to invest elsewhere (asia for example). Smart money is already fleeing the country, now because of Obama but later if Perry is elected on the backs of corporate lobbyists.

Last I checked, I was a free man and I didn’t realize we lived in a fascist regime where the question of where one invests ones money is dictated by people like you. People like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez restrict money flows in and out of their countries. I guess you are a Hugo/Fidel kinda conservative.

[Why don’t you do yourself and all the rest of us a favor and just leave now.]

Why don’t you do us all a favor and put a cork in it, I don’t take orders from you or anyone else. I believe free men are allowed the option to pursue life liberty and happiness as they choose - unless you are claiming I am a slave. Apparently you believe my wealth and the wellbeing of my family are things owned by the state, a state evidently to be run by crony capitalist Rick Perry. Well la dee da, you make a fine example.

Please feel free to go down with the ship. I will always be politically active here, but seeing my hard work inflated away is not my idea of a patriotic duty.
