That’s probably some good advice. I will do that. I had settled on Rasmussen because I thought his were reliable. I told myself I’d take the good and bad of what his polls came up with. However, the past couple of weeks...I’ve really got my doubts.

Unless something drastic happens within the next 13 months or the G.O.P. nominates a quack or an idiot, this man will be forever known as “Black Carter.”

Comeback? If this is a comeback, I sure wouldn't want one.
Did you miss the election results this week? Those polls were pretty definitive.

I like Rasmussen, but all polling is subject to an occasional outlier. By averaging all available polls taken at any given moment, you smooth out those weird fluctuations, and can see the trends much easier.

Yeah. I just went over to RCP. I threw out the highs and lows.

“Rasmussen shows Barry having a big comeback. These polls are all over the place.”

I have never understood Rasmussen.
I would expect Obumbo to be in a linear free fall,
but Rasmussen has him bumping up and down....Up today.

That was the one I was talking about. He was bouncing around in the low and mid -20s. He goes on his, “If you really love me, pass this bill” tour and now he’s at -17. Something is going on. That many people haven’t changed their minds already.

Don’t trust Ras polls. He jacks them around so bad this far before an election.

Zer0's entering his 'Jimmy Carter' phase, where the majority of people begin to just tune him out and realize he is a failed president who's words no longer inspire and instead create malaise and concern for the nation. Now all we need is that Plains, Georgia rabbit from 1979. |

On the 5 they mentioned how NY9 could make DWS nervous.
2010 was the first time she had an opponent.
Karen Harringtong got a lot of votes (for purple Broward county FL).

The following are the average first term approval ratings of recent presidents from highest to lowest and the result of their re-election attempts:
John Kennedy - 70.1% (did not finish term - assassinated)
Dwight Eisenhower - 69.6% (re-elected)
George W. Bush - 62.2% (re-elected)
George H.W. Bush - 60.9% (defeated)
Richard Nixon - 55.8% (re-elected)
Ronald Reagan - 50.3% (re-elected)
Lyndon Johnson - 50.3% (did not run for second term)
Bill Clinton - 49.6% (re-elected)
Gerald Ford - 47.2% (defeated)
Jimmy Carter - 45.5% (defeated)
Harry Truman - 45.4% (narrowly re-elected)
Barack Obama - currently 39% (and dropping)
It remains to be seen what Obama's final average approval rating will be before his first term is over but as you can see, it is not looking good for him historically. Only Clinton and Truman were able to be re-elected with less than a 50% approval rating and that is only because they had very weak opponents (Dole and Dewey).
So long as the GOP puts up a strong opponent, it looks pretty dismal for Obama's re-election chances.

She said she got a lot of unexpected abuse and few takers for her bumper stickers and posters. She did, however, say that the foreign tourists were nice to her, especially people from Germany and a couple from Kenya. They can have him, then.
