United States President Barack Obama enjoyed the support of an estimated 80% of U.S. Jews in the 2008 elections. However, recent polls indicate he will be receiving far less Jewish support in 2012.
Polls taken before the GOP upset in New Yorks 9th District showed that Obamas treatment of Israel was a crucial issue for many voters in the heavily Jewish area and only 22% were satisfied with the way he had been relating to Israel.

Jewish eyes are now being opened........Baruch HaShem!
He’ll make them pay for turning their backs on him.
Yup. Prepare yourself for the main dish of anti-Semitism that has been simmering on the “progressive”* back burner to be served soon, with a vengeance.
* funny, that doesn’t look like “progress” to me
"Jew, you have been reported through Attack watch!"
>>who listed several of the many occasions on which Obamas treatment of Israel was seen as hostile
Most American Jews vote Progressive. They believe in it and they want it to “succeed”. They also like the fact that most Progressives are weak Christians; or even non-Christian or, in many cases, openly hostile to Christianity. If they voted for Israel, they’d overwhelmingly vote conservative and would have for years.
lol
They didn’t like the Schickegruber years after they helped get him elected, either. There’s something in their DNA, like a fly and that blue light, they just gravitate towards these socialist types that promise Utopia and deliver them death.
Obama = Democrats
I’ll believe it when I see it at election time.
Until then it’s just conversation.
Here is a president who traveled the world in obsequious apology for America's supposed sins. Here is a president who has bent over backwards in his desire to placate, please, patronize the Arab Street more than any. Here is a president who has made no secret of his true Muslim adherence, allegiance. And yet, despite his pathetic groveling, his support among those he had sought the favor of, he has accomplished nothing of the sort, as he has done in all aspects of a putrid failure of a presidency, a president history will record as being that of a failed Jimmy Carter.
Yep, he’ll drop in support in the Jewish community from around 80% to maybe 70%. Liberal first, Jewish a distant second. Sad. For a people who have been so persecuted over the centuries, you’d think they would get that America is the friendliest place for them on Earth, outside of Israel. Where else have they been so prosperous?
“They didnt like the Schickegruber years after they helped get him elected, either.”
The German Jews always opposed Hitler. The Nazi meetings were closed to Jews from the begining and the Nazis were openly hostile to Jews from before they were an organized political party.
If you are going to spread lies, at least be smart about it.
not all of them are technically even Jewish thanks to intermarriage
You’re right - Blessed be the Name...
Yep. It is only a question of how much of a majority Jewish folks will give the Dems in any one election year not whether they will give them a majority. The best a Republican candidate can hope for is that they are not motivated to go to the polls.
If reelected I am sure you are right, but God help us all then.
Listened to Mayor Koch on Hannity yesterday; What I heard was that if Obama will inch back and reconcile with the Israeli supporters all will be forgiven at the 2012 elections, Republican are always suspect. There is no permanent break with Obama because he is ruining the United States and trashing the Constitution.
It does not matter how Jews vote. Once Obama is reelected he can do anything he wants with Israel and he will. This time in particular Jews should switch if Israel matters.
It's not lies, even here in the US the Nazi's had a large and wide spread support for their ideology among industry leaders and celebs to include Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, Rockefeller, Mellon, Joseph Kennedy, Hearst... Here's a little truth you might not want to accept, in the beginning (Hitlers rise to power) many saw opportunity in this man and there were many wealthy people as well as industrialists that threw their support behind him. In the beginning they (The Nazi movement) attempted to seduce religion, to include Christian churches (especially Protestant because they were generally more receptive- of course now some Protestant will get pissed off too) where they tried hard to pervert the message and make it work for their cause. Later this relationship became more adversarial once the Nazi's had centralized power, especially with those that didn't “toe the line”... But sadly, yes even among religious Christian leaders you found substantial support in the beginning...
Of course now, no one wants to be associated with this, neither the Churches, the businesses that profiteered, the socialists, media, many wealthy people, celebrities... Today everyone was against him and everyone was the victim and will vehemently argue that their cause has zero connection to this movement and man. Somehow, mysteriously he got the popular vote and was well financed, had positive press coverage even here in the US, even though NO ONE liked, supported or financed him./lol Maybe the Nazi's in their secret meetings that kept people out also “forced” folks here in the US to support this movement? Your views are exactly the same views expressed by a typical German socialist today who feels compelled to argue away the ties between national socialism back then and the socialism they believe in today. No one wants their cause, race, religion, political ideology, business (General Motors, IG Farben, DuPont, Standard Oil, National City Bank-sadly this bank was founded by a Jew, and all supporting national socialism, some right up until the day war was declared) or national history connected with something bad and evil. We always try to somehow separate ourselves and our beliefs from things that have a negative perception and mood. That is why they try very hard in Germany to eradicate all memories of this era, except of course a few monuments they can't get rid of because of the Holocaust (Dachau etc). Of course the Jews because of their plight under this regime are a special class that like black Americans when discussing race have to be dealt with through the politically correct filter and with kids gloves.
One thing you need to know; when you're dealing with power and money you often get very weird relationships or dynamics, sometimes even self destructive. Today, when dealing with the illegal and border issue you essentially have the liberal and the generally speaking more right oriented businesses on the same sheet of music. They have different reasons, but you basically have many on the right as well as left pushing back on any sort of crack down on illegals, securing the border or even enforcing visa standards etc. One can only speculate over their motives, but this odd dynamics is definitely there. The message to the general public by politicians is not backed by their actions either. Though conservatives want to distance themselves from this reality (for reasons aforementioned) it was Reagan that granted amnesty before, Bush W could have done far more but drug his feet. McCain and Perry that now want to reinvent themselves as tough guys on the illegal and border issues are on the record in their support for amnesty... Yet the Republicans want to pretend as if they are “tough” on this issue today. Now I'm going to get flamed by those that feel they have to defend the Republican party, Perry or McCain.
But sure, anything stating that Jews might have had their fingers in the cookie jar is anti Semitic and conspiratorial, got it. I already know where this conversation will go. Yes, even here in the US the Nazi movement had quite some support by some banks, businesses, industrialists, media and celebrities, some even Jewish owned. Even in the US pre war you had a substantial movement and growing support with large crowds gathering when they gave their speeches etc. Want some funny pictures of things that never happened and are all lies? Just google (in picture mode): "german american bund"
