It really sucked shopping in the suq, when I lived in Bahrain, when prayers started. I did consider stepping over them. :-)Didn’t figure that would go over very well, though.

Go sit in a barber’s chair and get a haircut during salat in Saudi. You just have to wait till after prayer time is over before the barber continues his job on you.

I lived in Bahrain in the early 80s as a kid. I rather liked the place, Muharraq was nice, the locals were friendly etc.
Did they ever invite you to a local after-prayers feast? man, the foood!
